Where the Money Comes From
Two settlements in In re JUUL Labs, Inc. Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation fund the payments: $255,000,000 from JUUL and $45,531,250 from Altria, together over $300,000,000 before lawyers’ fees and case costs. You were paid from both through one claim.
The official site says payments were calculated “by assigning points based on eligible and documented average amounts class members spent on Juul products in a year” and are “not a dollar-for-dollar reimbursement.”
Case details
The case is No. 19-md-02913-WHO in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The official administrator contact is 1-855-604-1734 or info@JUULClassAction.com, via the official settlement website. The site asks people not to contact the defendants or the court about payments.
Status: Second Round Paid Since March 20, 2026
Round two: per settlement trackers summarizing class counsel’s February 26, 2026 motion, 733,055 of 843,451 approved claimants had cashed or accepted their first payment. The leftover money — about $15.37 million — is being redistributed. Those trackers report that the administrator began issuing second payments on March 20, 2026.
Round three: as of October 19, 2026, we found no announced third payment or date. We could not load the official site directly, and we have not read the court’s redistribution order itself, so treat the round-two details as reported, not confirmed by us.
Who Got the Second Payment
Per the motion as reported, two conditions applied:
• You received and deposited your first payment. If your first check expired or your digital payment was never claimed, you were not in round two — that unclaimed money is what funded it.
• Your recalculated share came to $15 or more.
By the proposed order’s count, 165,982 claimants qualified. You did not have to do anything: the payment went out by the same method you chose the first time.
How Much Each Person Got
Per the motion as reported: about $20,000 was held back for taxes and $15,351,264.82 was set aside for claimants. The average second payment was $92.48 and the largest was $1,413.63. One tracker reports that total payments are capped at 150% of a person’s retail spending on Juul products, or 300% for youth purchases.
If you did not get a second payment, the most likely reasons are that you never cashed the first one, or your share fell below $15.

Three Things to Watch For
Searches for a Juul second or third payment are a magnet for fake notices:
“Register for your Juul third payment”
Round two required no action, and the claim deadline passed on February 5, 2024. A form asking for your details to “secure” a new Juul payment is not from the settlement.
Fake virtual MasterCard emails
Many people were paid by virtual card through an email link, which makes card-claim emails easy to copy. If one asks for a fee or your bank login, do not click — call 1-855-604-1734 to check.
“Join the new Juul antitrust settlement”
The separate antitrust case over Altria’s stake in JUUL has no settlement and no claim form. In April 2026 the Ninth Circuit agreed to review its class certification. We checked again on October 19, 2026 and found no later update.

Per Altria’s SEC filing, trial will not happen earlier than five months after the appeals court rules.
