Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

What this page is for

Settlement Insight is a free legal-information service. When you voluntarily submit a form on this site asking to be connected with legal help, we share the information you provide (such as your name, contact details, state, and case description) with participating law firms and legal marketing partners, who may contact you about your potential case. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), this can qualify as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — and you have the right to opt out of it.

How to opt out

• Automatically — Global Privacy Control (GPC). Turn on GPC in your browser (built into Firefox, Brave and DuckDuckGo, or available as an extension). We honor the signal automatically: the status box above confirms whether your signal is being applied, and any form you submit while the signal is active is flagged so that it is not sold or shared.
• By email. Send your request to privacy@settlementinsight.com with the subject “CCPA Opt-Out Request”. Include the name, email address and phone number you used on our forms so we can locate your submission. We process opt-out requests within 15 business days and do not require you to create an account.

What happens after you opt out

We stop selling or sharing your personal information, instruct any partner who already received it within the preceding 90 days to do the same, and keep a suppression record so a later submission from you is not sold by mistake. Opting out does not affect information you have given directly to a law firm you are already working with — contact that firm separately.

Your other California privacy rights

You also have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to ask us to delete it, and to correct inaccurate information — all free of charge and without discrimination. Details, including all categories of information we collect and the partners we work with, are in our Privacy Policy. You may use an authorized agent to submit any request on your behalf.

Not from California?

We honor opt-out requests and Global Privacy Control signals from all visitors, regardless of state. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon and Montana have similar opt-out rights under their state privacy laws and can use the same two methods above.
