BCBS Settlement Florida — Florida Blue Mid-Range Payouts
Florida Blue (BCBS of Florida) is the state's BCBS carrier. Florida claimants land in the mid-range of the $2.67B Subscriber settlement payouts.
Tier 1 (Individual)
$400–$1,000
Tier 2 (Employee)
$120–$380
Tier 3 (Employer)
$5,000–$35,000
Florida's BCBS plan is branded as Florida Blue (formerly Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida) — but it's part of the same antitrust class action and follows the same Subscriber settlement framework.
With ~22 million residents and significant retiree population using BCBS coverage, Florida has one of the larger claimant populations even though the state-multiplier is mid-tier.
Florida Payout Range — Population × Mid-Multiplier
Florida Blue Tier-1 individual claimants typically receive $400–$800 for standard 10-year coverage. Long-tenure claimants with high premium payments can reach $1,000.
Florida retirees who had BCBS supplement coverage may qualify partially — see the main calculator's eligibility section for Medicare-related rules.
Florida Blue — GuideWell
Florida Blue is operated by GuideWell Mutual Holding Corporation, a not-for-profit parent organization. Coverage through Florida Blue's commercial fully-insured plans (HMO, PPO, individual marketplace) during 2008–2020 qualifies.
Note: Florida Blue Medicare (Advantage and Supplement plans) operates separately — Medicare standalone is excluded, but Medicare Supplement may qualify partially.
Florida 2026 Distribution Status
Florida is in the standard 2026 distribution wave. NBC Miami first reported on the distributions February 19, 2026; subsequent Florida media coverage from Tampa Bay Times, Orlando Sentinel, Miami Herald.

Florida BCBS Settlement FAQ
Is Florida Blue the same as BCBS for settlement purposes?
Yes. Florida Blue (the rebrand of BCBS of Florida circa 2012) is the same legal entity, in the same antitrust class action, and follows the same Subscriber settlement framework.
I had a Florida Blue Medicare Advantage plan — does it qualify?
Medicare Advantage is generally excluded. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans through Florida Blue during the class period may qualify partially — file a claim with documentation to let the administrator decide.
I'm a snowbird with coverage in two states — what counts?
Whichever state issued your BCBS policy at the time of premium payment counts. If you switched between Florida Blue and another state's BCBS plan, both periods count separately with their respective state multipliers.
My Florida-based small business has been targeted by BCBS scam emails — what should I do?
Verify directly at bcbssettlement.com (official administrator). Do not respond to emails demanding fees or bank-account re-verification. Florida AG's office accepts consumer-protection complaints for these scams.
When will Florida payments be done?
Tier-1 (most Florida individual claimants): completed by July-August 2026. Tier-2 employees: October-November 2026. Tier-3 Florida businesses: Q4 2026 through Q1 2027.
