What This Page Covers
This page covers only the payment: when it comes, how much, and how it arrives. For who is in the class, what was exposed and how claims worked, see our main page on the ApolloMD data breach settlement.
The case is In re ApolloMD Data Breach Litigation, No. 1:25-cv-05439-SEG, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, before Judge Sarah E. Geraghty. The administrator is Kroll Settlement Administration LLC.
Case details
Judge Geraghty granted preliminary approval on June 5, 2026 and set the final approval hearing for October 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM in Courtroom 2307 in Atlanta. Class counsel filed the motion for final approval and for attorneys’ fees on August 17, 2026. They asked for up to one-third of the $4,020,000 fund in fees, plus costs, paid out of the fund.
As of October 19, 2026 we could not confirm whether the judge has signed a final approval order. The docket records we checked show nothing after September 4, 2026, and the official site, ApolloMDDataSettlement.com, blocked our automated check. Check the site directly for the current status.
Status: Claims Closed, Waiting on Final Approval
The rule in the agreement: Kroll must distribute benefits “no later than 60 days after Final Approval or 45 days after the Effective Date, whichever is later.” The Effective Date is the day after the final approval order if nobody objected. If someone did object, it is at least 30 days after the order, and later if there is an appeal.
What that means on the calendar (our arithmetic, not an announced date): if the judge approved on October 5, 2026 and there were no objections, the deadline is December 4, 2026. If there were objections but no appeal, it is December 19, 2026. An appeal would push both dates back by months. If approval came later than October 5, every date moves back with it.
Who Gets Paid
Only people who filed a valid claim by September 30, 2026 receive a cash payment. If you did nothing, you stay in the class but get no money. The full class rules are on the main ApolloMD page.
If your claim had a problem: Kroll sends a Notice of Deficiency, and you have until the claim deadline or 15 days after the notice, whichever is later, to fix it. If you claimed documented losses and do not fix the claim, it is paid as if you had chosen the $75 option.
How Much Each Person Gets
1. Medical Data Monitoring (one year of CyEx) for those who chose it.
2. Cash Payment A, up to $5,000 for documented, unreimbursed losses from fraud or identity theft.
3. Cash Payment B, a flat payment estimated at $75.
All cash payments are then adjusted up or down by the same percentage, depending on how many valid claims came in. The real amount per person is not known until claims are counted. As of October 19, 2026 no claim count or final per-person figure has been published. About 662,000 people received breach notices. Usually only a small share of a class files claims, which is why the flat payment can end up above or below $75.

Three Things to Watch For
Payout season is when fake payment notices for a well-known settlement show up:
“Pay a fee to release your ApolloMD payment”
Fees and costs are taken out of the fund before anyone is paid. Kroll does not ask class members to pay anything to receive their money.
Requests to “re-verify” your bank or Social Security number
You chose electronic payment or a paper check on your claim form. A real deficiency notice refers to your claim and has a cure deadline. Call Kroll at (833) 930-0984 rather than using a number from the message.
“Claims reopened” offers
The claim deadline was September 30, 2026. A site offering to file a new ApolloMD claim now, or to speed up a payout, is not the settlement. The only official site is ApolloMDDataSettlement.com.
ApolloMD Settlement Payout — Questions People Actually Ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this case.
What is the ApolloMD settlement payout date?
As of October 19, 2026, no ApolloMD settlement payout date has been announced. The agreement requires Kroll to pay no later than 60 days after final approval or 45 days after the Effective Date, whichever is later. If the judge approved on October 5, 2026 and no one objected, that would be December 4, 2026. That date is our calculation, not an announcement.
Has the ApolloMD settlement been approved?
Preliminary approval was granted June 5, 2026, and the final approval hearing was set for October 5, 2026. As of October 19, 2026 we could not confirm that a final approval order has been signed. Check ApolloMDDataSettlement.com or the court docket, No. 1:25-cv-05439-SEG.
How much will each person get from the ApolloMD settlement payout?
Documented losses pay up to $5,000. The flat Cash Payment B is estimated at $75. Both are adjusted up or down by the same percentage once claims are counted, after fees and costs come out of the $4,020,000 fund. No final per-person amount has been published.
How will I be paid?
By electronic payment or paper check, whichever you chose on your claim form. If you made no choice, or the electronic payment fails, Kroll mails a paper check to your last known address.
How do you know if a settlement check is legit?
An ApolloMD payment comes from Kroll Settlement Administration as the method you chose on your claim. A real payment never requires a fee or your full Social Security number. If unsure, call Kroll at (833) 930-0984 or write to Settlement Administrator - #83375, c/o Kroll Settlement Administration LLC, P.O. Box 5324, New York, NY 10150-5324.
How long do I have to cash the check?
Paper checks must be cashed within 90 days of issuance. Money left over 150 days after checks go out is to be paid, with court approval, to the Electronic Privacy Information Center. It does not go back to ApolloMD.
When will I get the free medical data monitoring?
If you chose it on your claim, Kroll is to email activation instructions within 30 days of the Effective Date. Like the cash, that clock does not start until final approval.
I missed the September 30 deadline. Can I still get paid?
No. Only valid claims submitted or postmarked by September 30, 2026 are paid. If you did not opt out by August 31, 2026, you are still in the class and bound by the release, but you receive no cash.
