Netflix Settlement Payout Date: There Is None Yet
Active Litigation
As of October 19, 2026, no Netflix settlement is paying anyone in the U.S. — no fund, no administrator, no claim form, no deadline. The refunds in the headlines are Italian, and Rome’s Court of Appeal has suspended the ruling behind them while Netflix’s appeal runs. Nobody has a payout date to give you, and anyone who claims one is guessing.

Why People Are Searching for a Netflix Payout
This page covers only the money. For what each case alleges and who it covers, see our Netflix lawsuit overview.
The searches trace back to one headline. On April 1, 2026 a Rome court found that Netflix’s price-change clauses used from 2017 to January 2024 were unfair. The consumer group Movimento Consumatori then said a long-time Premium subscriber could get back about €500 and a Standard subscriber about €250. Those figures are the group’s estimates, not a court award. They concern Italian accounts only. Nothing in that ruling pays a U.S. subscriber.
Case details
Italy, the ruling: Rome Tribunal judgment no. 4993/2026 of April 1, 2026, in an injunction action brought by Movimento Consumatori. Netflix appealed. The second civil section of the Rome Court of Appeal, which handles business cases, met in chambers on September 14, 2026 and suspended the judgment’s enforceability, finding the appeal appeared “manifestly well-founded” on a first look (reported October 8, 2026). The appeal itself is still pending.
Italy, the refunds: money would come from a separate class action Movimento Consumatori filed in Rome on July 20, 2026 against Netflix Italy Services and Netflix International BV.
United States: the only consumer class action is Mosley v. Netflix, Inc., No. 5:26-cv-02534 (N.D. Ohio), filed September 28, 2026. An earlier U.S. consumer settlement was In re Netflix Privacy Litigation, No. 5:11-cv-00379 (N.D. Cal.), approved by Judge Edward J. Davila on March 18, 2013.
Status: No Payout Date in the U.S. or Italy
United States: no settlement, no fund, no claim form and no deadline. The Ohio class action has no certified class. The Texas and Florida suits are state enforcement actions, and the penalties they seek would be paid to the state. So the honest answer to the Netflix lawsuit payout question is: there is nothing scheduled.
Italy: Netflix has made no refund offer, according to Movimento Consumatori. The Court of Appeal’s suspension means Netflix no longer has to notify subscribers or publish the ruling in newspapers. The refund class action is waiting for a first hearing on admissibility. When we checked on October 19, 2026, the group’s page said that hearing “will be set shortly,” with no date. Only after a judge admits the case can people formally join it.

Who Could Be Paid Later — and What to Keep
U.S. subscribers: there is nothing to sign up for. If the Ohio case is ever certified or settles, notice comes from a court-appointed administrator. Who falls inside the proposed class is explained on the Netflix lawsuit page.
Italian subscribers: Movimento Consumatori says over 240,000 people have registered interest. It says proof of payment will matter when joining, and it suggests saving account screenshots, receipts, the price-increase emails and card statements now. Netflix shows only recent invoices in the account, so download them as they appear. You can register interest on Movimento Consumatori’s Netflix page. That is not a claim and it guarantees no payment.
How Much Money Is Actually on the Table
The 2013 precedent paid subscribers no cash. In the privacy case Netflix put $9 million into a fund. Class counsel received $2.2 million, about 25 percent. Four named plaintiffs split a $30,000 incentive award. The rest went to twenty privacy nonprofits, not to subscribers.
Italy: estimates only. Movimento Consumatori counts the voided increases at €8 a month for Premium and €4 a month for Standard. It also counts a €2 Base increase in October 2024. A Premium subscriber paying since 2017 would be owed about €500, a Standard subscriber about €250, by the group’s math. Your real figure would depend on how long you subscribed, plan changes and cancellations. None of it is payable while the appeal and the class action are pending.

Three Things to Watch For
A headline about €500 refunds plus no official claim site is the gap imposters fill:
“Claim your Netflix settlement” sites
There is no U.S. Netflix claim form because there is no U.S. settlement. A page asking for your card number or login to “release your payout” is collecting data, not filing anything.
“Your Netflix refund is ready” emails
The court-ordered notices in Italy were suspended, and no refund has been offered. A message with a link to “confirm billing” for a refund is a phishing pattern. Open the Netflix app or type the address yourself instead.
Paid sign-ups promising a share
No court-appointed administrator charges a fee to include you. In Italy, registering interest with the consumer group is free and is not a claim; in the U.S. there is nothing to register for.
Netflix Payout — Questions People Actually Ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this case.
What is the Netflix settlement payout date?
There is none. As of October 19, 2026, no Netflix settlement is paying U.S. subscribers, and the Italian refunds have no date because the ruling is suspended on appeal and the refund class action has not been admitted.
Is there a Netflix lawsuit payout for U.S. subscribers?
No. The only U.S. consumer class action, Mosley v. Netflix, Inc. (No. 5:26-cv-02534), was filed September 28, 2026 and has no certified class. The Texas and Florida suits would pay penalties to the states, not to subscribers.
How much will I get from the Netflix settlement?
In the U.S., nothing is payable and no amount exists. In Italy, Movimento Consumatori estimates about €500 for a Premium subscriber since 2017 and about €250 for Standard — estimates, not an award.
Is the Netflix lawsuit legit?
The cases are real: a federal class action in Ohio, two state enforcement suits, and the Rome court ruling now on appeal. What is not legitimate is any site offering to file a U.S. Netflix settlement claim, because no such claim process exists.
Can you get money back from Netflix?
Not through any U.S. lawsuit today. In Italy, refunds of the 2017–2024 increases are being pursued through Movimento Consumatori’s class action, which has not yet been admitted. A refund for a specific charge is a billing matter between you and Netflix, not part of any court case.
What happened to the Italian €500 Netflix refunds?
They have not been paid. Netflix appealed, and after a September 14, 2026 session the Rome Court of Appeal suspended the ruling’s enforceability. The appeal continues and could go either way.
Did the 2013 Netflix privacy settlement pay anyone?
Not subscribers. The $9 million fund paid attorneys’ fees and a $30,000 incentive award to named plaintiffs, and the balance went to twenty privacy nonprofits. That case is closed.
How will I find out if a payout is announced?
In a U.S. class action, a court-appointed administrator sends notice to class members directly. Until then, settlements that are actually taking claims are listed on our open class action settlements page.
