What lapsettlement.com Is and Who Runs It
The site's own title reads “Sen v. Vesync (US) Corp. Class Action Settlement | Levoit Core & EverestAir Air Purifier Notice.” The settlement agreement names www.LAPsettlement.com as the official Settlement Website, and the court's preliminary approval order of August 21, 2026 appoints Apex Class Action LLC to run it. Vesync (US) Corp. sells Levoit products. The lawsuit alleges that “True HEPA,” “HEPA” and “H13” claims on certain Levoit purifiers and replacement filters were misleading. Vesync unequivocally denies all allegations, and the court has not decided who is right.
So the short answer to “is lap settlement legit” is yes: the address, the administrator and the case number all match the court file. The background of the HEPA case is on our Levoit lawsuit page.
Case details
Sen et al. v. Vesync (US) Corp., Index No. 510627/2026, Supreme Court of the State of New York, Kings County, before Judge Katherine Levine. This is a state court case. It folds in three earlier federal suits: Chen v. Vesync Corp., No. 3:23-cv-04458 (N.D. Cal.), filed on or about August 20, 2023; Tepper v. Vesync Corp., No. 7:24-cv-08430-NSR (S.D.N.Y.); and Menter v. Vesync Corp., No. 3:24-cv-12786-MGM (D. Mass.), the last two filed on or about November 5, 2024. Status: Settlement Preliminarily Approved, Claims Open Until November 3, 2026
The fairness hearing is set for February 17, 2027 at 11:00 a.m. ET by video conference (Courtroom 541, 360 Adams Street, Brooklyn). No payment goes out before the court grants final approval and any appeals are resolved.
Don't miss the claim deadline
Claims are due by November 3, 2026. We'll email you 7 days and 1 day before the deadline.
Who Can Claim
You are in the class if you bought a Levoit-branded Core or EverestAir air purifier or replacement filter with “True HEPA,” “HEPA” or “H13” language in the United States between August 29, 2019 and August 4, 2023.
Who is out: people who bought directly from Vesync's website or mobile app. The settlement agreement excludes them because they are bound by an arbitration agreement and class-action waiver. Most sales went through Amazon.com, and the administrator uses Amazon's records to email class members a link, a Claim ID and a PIN.
What you need: evidence of purchase showing the original purchase date, plus your name, email, address, signature and payment choice. An Amazon order history entry is the obvious place to look.
What a Claim Pays
Timing: nothing is paid until final approval after the February 17, 2027 hearing, and the notice warns that appeals could take more than one year.

How to Tell the Real Notice From a Fake
The real site is lapsettlement.com, the real administrator is Apex Class Action, and the real email address ends in @apexclassaction.com. Watch for these:
Lookalike sites asking for a fee
The official claim form is free and is filed only at lapsettlement.com. A site with a different spelling, or one that asks for a processing fee, your bank login or your Social Security number, is not the administrator.
“Your $10 is ready” messages before February 2027
No award can be paid before final approval, and the fairness hearing is February 17, 2027. A text or email claiming your Levoit money is waiting today, with a link to “release” it, is a fake.
Calls offering to opt you out
You cannot exclude yourself by phone or email. Opt-outs must be mailed, personally signed, to Apex Class Action, PO Box 54668, Irvine, CA 92619. Nobody legitimate will do it for you over the phone.
lapsettlement.com — Questions People Actually Ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this case.
Is lapsettlement.com legit?
Yes. lapsettlement.com is the official website for the Levoit air purifier settlement in Sen et al. v. Vesync (US) Corp., No. 510627/2026 (Kings County Supreme Court, New York). The settlement agreement names it, and the court appointed its operator, Apex Class Action LLC, on August 21, 2026.
Is the email from LAPSettlement@apexclassaction.com real?
That is the settlement's official email address. The notice was sent by email using Amazon purchase records, with a Claim ID and PIN. To be safe, type https://www.lapsettlement.com into your browser yourself instead of clicking a link, and call 1 (800) 837-2979 if anything looks off.
How much will I get, and how soon can I expect to receive compensation?
A valid claim is worth a $10.00 digital payment, reduced proportionally only if valid claims exceed the $15,000,000 cap. Nothing is paid until the court grants final approval after the February 17, 2027 hearing and any appeals are resolved, which the notice says could take more than one year.
How do I know if I am owed money from this settlement?
You qualify if you bought a Levoit Core or EverestAir purifier or filter labeled “True HEPA,” “HEPA” or “H13” in the U.S. between August 29, 2019 and August 4, 2023, and did not buy it directly from Vesync's website or app. You must file a claim with proof of purchase by November 3, 2026.
I bought from Levoit's own website. Can I claim?
No. The settlement agreement excludes people who bought directly from Vesync's website or mobile app, because those buyers agreed to arbitration and a class-action waiver. Purchases through Amazon and other retailers are covered.
Do I need a receipt?
Yes. The claim page states that proof of purchase is required and must show the original purchase date. An Amazon order history record is the most common form.
What if I miss the November 3, 2026 deadline?
Then you get no payment from this settlement, and unless you opted out by that date you still release your claims against Vesync. The deadline is the same for claims, opt-outs and objections.
Who are the lawyers, and do I have to pay them?
Court-appointed class counsel include Bursor & Fisher, P.A. and Sinderbrand Law Group, P.C. You are not charged for their services. Their fees, up to $5,244,500 if approved, are paid separately by Vesync.
