Whose Address Is aplsconnect.com?
The official settlement website is SmartphoneAISettlement.com. The claim form itself sits on a different domain: USA Today and the Commercial Appeal both report that “claims can be filed online at aplsconnect.com/smartphoneaisettlement.” That split — a branded case site plus a separate claims portal — is ordinary for large settlements.
The settlement agreement names Verita Global, LLC as the independent settlement administrator. Verita runs the website, sends the notices and processes claims. The domain’s owner is not shown publicly: ScamAdviser reports that the WHOIS record is hidden behind a paid privacy service. So the honest answer is that aplsconnect.com is the portal the press ties to this settlement, while the formal link to Verita is not visible in public records.
The safest way in is to type smartphoneaisettlement.com yourself and use its claim button, rather than clicking a link in a message.
Case details
The case is Landsheft v. Apple Inc., Case No. 5:25-cv-02668-NW, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California (San Jose), before Judge Noël Wise. It was first filed on March 19, 2025, and several later suits were consolidated into it. The lawsuit alleges that Apple advertised AI-enhanced Siri features as part of Apple Intelligence on the iPhone 16, and that those features did not exist when the phone launched. Apple denied the claims, and the settlement is expressly not an admission of liability. The settlement agreement was filed on May 5, 2026 as Document 78-1. Other Apple cases are covered on our Apple lawsuit and iPhone lawsuit pages.

Who Can File on aplsconnect.com
The class is everyone who lives in the United States and bought an iPhone 16, iPhone 16e, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max in the U.S. between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025, for any purpose other than resale. Apple, its employees and the judges on the case are excluded.
You do not need the email to qualify. The notice may include a claim ID and PIN, but a claim can still be filed without them. The form asks for your name, address, phone number and the device serial number; if you no longer have the serial number, you can give your Apple Account email and the phone number tied to the iPhone. Each eligible device needs its own claim. Questions go to the administrator at 1-888-988-8945 or Landsheft, et al. v. Apple Inc., Settlement Administrator, P.O. Box 301132, Los Angeles, CA 90030-1132.
How Much the Settlement Pays
How cases like this one end
Our copy of the federal courts’ own case database covers 25,309 other fraud casesclosed in U.S. federal district courts between 2015 and 2026, 27.6% of them filed as class actions:
- 17.1% ended in a settlement recorded by the court. Another 22.9% were dismissed voluntarily, which often follows a private settlement — so the real settlement share sits between 17.1% and 39.9%.
- 10.2% were decided on a motion before any trial.
- 1 in 112 reached a trial (0.9%), after a median of 29.9 months.
- Median time from filing to the end of the case: 7 months.
- Only 761 of them (3%) record a money award at all; the median of those is $663,000.

Three Things to Watch For
Because the real portal sits on an unfamiliar domain that scam checkers rate poorly, copycats have an easy opening:
Look-alike domains
The real address is spelled a-p-l-s-c-o-n-n-e-c-t. Lookalikes with an extra letter or a different ending can copy the form. Typing smartphoneaisettlement.com yourself and using its claim button avoids the problem.
Requests for your Apple Account password or a fee
The claim form asks for a serial number, or an Apple Account email and phone number. It does not need your Apple password, a verification code or a payment. Anyone asking for those is not the administrator.
“Pay to speed up your $95”
No payment is possible before the February 24, 2027 hearing, and the amount is set by the number of claims, not by anything you pay. Offers to guarantee the maximum or deliver money early are false.
aplsconnect.com — Questions People Actually Ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this case.
Is aplsconnect legit?
Yes, as far as the public record shows. USA Today and the Memphis Commercial Appeal both name aplsconnect.com/smartphoneaisettlement as the online claim address for the $250 million Apple Siri AI settlement, Landsheft v. Apple Inc. The official case site is SmartphoneAISettlement.com and the administrator is Verita Global.
Is aplsconnect.com legit if scam checkers rate it low?
ScamAdviser gives aplsconnect.com a trust score of 0. The reasons it lists are a hidden WHOIS owner, a recently registered domain, few visitors and a site it could not analyze. Those are automated signals that fit a new claims portal; they are not a finding of fraud. Going in through smartphoneaisettlement.com removes the doubt.
Why did I get an email about an Apple lawsuit?
The settlement requires notice by email and postcard to likely class members. If you bought an eligible iPhone in the class period, an email with a claim ID and PIN is expected. You can still file without those codes.
Is there a fake Apple email going around?
Fake Apple messages exist, and the sender address of the settlement notice email is not documented in the sources we checked, so do not trust a message just because it mentions the settlement. Type smartphoneaisettlement.com yourself instead of clicking a link. For a message claiming to be an Apple security alert, this page does not help — go to Apple directly instead of following the link.
How much will I get?
A presumptive $25 per eligible device, adjusted pro rata depending on how many valid claims are filed, with a cap of $95 per device. The $250 million fund also pays fees and costs. See the Apple Siri settlement calculator for estimates.
What is the deadline?
Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by December 21, 2026. Opt-out requests and objections are due by that date too. If you do nothing, you get no payment but remain bound by the release of claims against Apple.
When will the money arrive?
Not before final approval. The hearing is set for February 24, 2027 in San Jose. If the court approves and no appeal is filed, payments are processed after that; appeals would delay them.
I bought my iPhone 16 outside the U.S. Can I file?
No. The class covers U.S. residents who bought an eligible device in the United States between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025, for purposes other than resale.
