Is Verita Legit? Yes — Here’s How to Check Your Verita Email, Letter or Check
Reference Guide
Verita Global is a real company, not a scam. It is the new name of KCC (Kurtzman Carson Consultants), Gilardi & Co. and RicePoint — firms that courts and companies hire to mail settlement notices, process claims and send payments. State Farm’s $5 billion auto dividend, whose payment portal is powered by Verita, is one place people now meet the name. A real company name does not make every message real, though. Here is how to tell.

Looking for a Settlement You Can Claim?
This page explains the rules — it is not about one open case. Search the settlements and lawsuits we track by company or product, open claim windows first.
See all open settlementsWho Verita Is
Verita is a service company, not a lawsuit. There is no case against it, no settlement and no claim form attached to the name itself. The legal entity is Verita Global, LLC.
Verita formed when Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC (KCC), Gilardi & Co. and RicePoint Administration Inc. unified under one brand. Per Verita’s own release, KCC was sold to GCP Capital Partners in May 2023 and then chose the name Verita, “meaning truth.” The release says the people and processes stayed the same; only the brand and logo changed.
Verita works in four areas: settlement administration, mass tort, corporate restructuring (bankruptcy claims agent work) and trustee services. That is why one person can get a class action notice from Verita and another a bankruptcy claim form.
So if you searched “verita llc scam” or “verita settlement administrator legit”: the company is real. What you need to verify is the individual email, letter or check.
Case details
Verita is not a court and does not decide anything. In a class action, the judge approves the settlement and appoints an administrator; in a corporate payout like State Farm’s, the company hires one. Verita then mails notices, runs the website, checks claims and sends money.
Verita’s official domains are veritaglobal.com (company site and case list) and veritaglobal.net (court-document search inherited from KCC). It publishes a toll-free line, 1-866-381-9100, and an international line, +1-310-823-9000. Many cases also get their own website — for example sfdividend.com for State Farm — that does not contain the word “Verita” at all.
For envelope return addresses and older KCC or Gilardi branding, see our Verita / KCC letter guide.

How to Tell a Real Verita Message From a Fake
1. Match it to a real case. A genuine notice names a specific case or program. Find that case on Verita’s list or on the case website you typed in yourself — not through the link in the message.
2. Check the sender domain. For State Farm, the only valid email sender is donotreply@e.sfdividend.com, and the email carries a unique ID/PIN for the portal. A lookalike domain, a Gmail address or a link to an unrelated site is a fail.
3. Look at what it asks for. State Farm says it will not charge a fee and will not ask for your email, banking or digital-wallet password. That rule holds across settlements generally: you never pay to receive your own money.
4. Call a number you found yourself. Use the number on the official case site (State Farm: 1-888-808-9532) or Verita’s published line — not one printed in a suspicious message.
Checks: a real Verita check names the case or program and comes with a letter. State Farm says to cash it within the timeframe in the check letter. Our other legitimacy checks follow the same method for other names: Kroll Monitoring, lpdataincident.com, telecomdatasettlement.com, bcbssettlement.com and the employer review Is Mercor legit.
Does Verita Pay Out Its Own Money?
Nobody, including Verita, can “speed up” or “unlock” a payment for a fee. If you think you are owed money from a specific case, the case website and its deadline are what matter, not the administrator’s name.

Three Things to Watch For
Because Verita is real and widely mailed, its name and its clients’ names are easy to borrow:
Fake State Farm dividend emails
With a $5 billion payout rolling out over months, copycat emails are predictable. The real one comes only from donotreply@e.sfdividend.com. A message asking for a fee, your banking password or your digital-wallet password is not from State Farm or Verita.
“Pay to release your settlement”
A caller or email using the Verita or KCC name asks for a processing fee, gift cards or crypto before a check can go out. Real administrators deduct costs from the fund under court order; they never bill the class member.
Lookalike names: Veritas, Verita Chain
Verita is not “Veritas” or any crypto platform. The UK regulator FCA, for example, warns about www.veritaschainn.com as an unauthorised firm. Before trusting a site, check the exact spelling against veritaglobal.com.
Verita — Questions People Actually Ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this case.
Is Verita Global real?
Yes. Verita Global, LLC is the company formerly known as KCC (Kurtzman Carson Consultants), which also absorbed Gilardi & Co. and RicePoint. It administers class action settlements, mass torts, bankruptcy claims and corporate payouts such as the State Farm dividend.
Is Verita Global a scam?
No — the company is legitimate. But scammers can borrow any real name. So the question to ask is whether your specific message is real: does it name a real case, come from that case’s official domain, and avoid asking for fees or passwords?
Who is Verita Global LLC?
A legal-services company that courts and companies hire to send notices, process claims and distribute money. Per its press release, KCC was sold to GCP Capital Partners in May 2023 and then rebranded as Verita; the rebrand release quotes Bryan Butvick as Verita’s CEO. Its toll-free number is 1-866-381-9100.
Is the Verita State Farm dividend email legit?
If it came from donotreply@e.sfdividend.com and sends you to sfdividend.com with a unique ID/PIN, it matches what State Farm published. State Farm says the portal is powered by Verita. Questions go to 1-888-808-9532. Customers without an email on file get a check by mail instead.
Is there a Verita Amazon settlement?
The FTC’s Amazon Prime refunds — up to $200 per eligible customer, paid automatically through April 2027 — require no claim. The FTC page does not name an administrator, and we could not confirm a Verita role officially. Help goes through admin@SubscriptionMembershipSettlement.com or 1-888-999-8094, and the FTC says it is not contacting people about these refunds.
Why did I get mail from Verita if I never signed up?
Administrators work from records the defendant or company already holds — customer lists, policy files, payroll. You were likely in one of those. The notice should name the case; our Verita / KCC letter guide explains the envelope and return address.
Is a Verita check safe to cash?
A real one is. It should come with a letter naming the case or program, and you should never be asked to send money back or pay a fee to deposit it. Cash it within the period printed on the letter; State Farm, for example, sets a timeframe in its check letter.
Is Verita a legit company to deal with if a case closed?
Yes, but check the deadline first. Verita’s list shows closed cases such as NCAA – College Athlete Compensation (October 1, 2025) and AmTrust Securities (October 7, 2026). After a claim deadline, a message inviting you to “still file” deserves extra suspicion.
