Who Owns the Address and Why You Got the Letter
The address on your letter belongs to a real class action settlement. The court notice says: “For more information visit www.FCAwarrantysettlement.com or call toll-free (833) 930-0207.” The settlement agreement defines the settlement website as one “created and maintained by the Settlement Administrator,” and names that administrator as Kroll Settlement Administration, “appointed by the Court.” So fca warranty settlement.com is not a Stellantis or FCA marketing site and not a law-firm lead page.
The lawsuit alleges that FCA US did not treat certain valve-train parts — the valve rocker arm, valve stem oil seal and valve tappet — as “high-priced” warranted parts under the California Emissions Warranty (13 CCR 1950 and following). FCA US has not admitted wrongdoing.
You got mail because FCA US’s own records show you bought or leased a class vehicle. The agreement required a Short-Form Notice by first-class mail, with addresses first run through the National Change of Address database. For the full case background, see our FCA warranty settlement page.
Case details
Regueiro v. FCA US LLC, Case No. 2:22-cv-05521, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The final approval hearing is scheduled for October 28, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. PT, at 350 W. 1st Street, 5th floor, Courtroom 5C, Los Angeles. The notice warns the court could reschedule it. The current deal is the Second Renewed Class Action Settlement Agreement, filed April 24, 2026 as Document 77-2, after the court denied preliminary approval on September 8, 2025 and again on March 3, 2026. Our federal-court records list the case type as other contract.
Status: Claims Closed, Final Approval Pending
Nothing is paid until the court grants final approval and FCA US funds the settlement. For a timely claim, Kroll has 60 days from receipt to tell you in writing how much will be reimbursed or why it was denied.
Is My Vehicle Covered?
The class is people who, per FCA US’s records, bought or leased a vehicle with a 3.6L engine in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont or Washington. Models: 2015–2020 Ram 1500, Ram Promaster, Jeep Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Dodge Challenger, Charger, Durango, Chrysler 300, Town & Country and Grand Caravan; 2015–2019 Dodge Journey; 2015–2017 Chrysler 200. Vehicles previously declared a total loss are excluded.
The practical test is the letter itself. It went to people FCA US’s records identify. A Jeep or Ram bought in another state, or with a different engine, is not in this class — see our Jeep lawsuit overview for other cases.
What the Settlement Pays
Warranty extension (automatic). FCA US covers parts and labor to replace a failed valve rocker arm, valve stem oil seal or valve tappet for the earlier of seven years from the in-service date or 70,000 miles, at an authorized FCA US dealership, with no fees. You do not need to show any settlement document. Because the class runs back to 2015 models, the seven-year window has already ended for many older vehicles — check your in-service date.
Reimbursement (claim required, now closed). Class members who already paid for a qualifying diagnosis or repair could claim it back with a claim form, proof of payment and documents showing the VIN, owner, part and repair shop. Approved claims are paid by check mailed within 21 days of FCA US funding the settlement; checks are valid for 90 days. There is no flat cash payment.
Class counsel will ask for no more than $1,005,000 in fees and expenses and a $7,500 service award, both paid separately from class benefits.
How cases like this one end
Our copy of the federal courts’ own case database covers 129,730 other contract casesclosed in U.S. federal district courts between 2015 and 2026, 6% of them filed as class actions:
- 30.7% ended in a settlement recorded by the court. Another 20.2% were dismissed voluntarily, which often follows a private settlement — so the real settlement share sits between 30.7% and 50.9%.
- 7.5% were decided on a motion before any trial.
- 1 in 72 reached a trial (1.4%), after a median of 29.3 months.
- Median time from filing to the end of the case: 7.6 months.
- Only 7,691 of them (5.9%) record a money award at all; the median of those is $407,000.

How to Spot a Fake
The real site, the real phone number and the real mailing address are all printed in the court notice. Fakes tend to look like this:
“Your vehicle’s extended warranty” calls
This settlement’s extension is free and automatic, honored at authorized FCA US dealerships with no settlement document needed. A caller selling or “activating” warranty coverage for a fee is not the settlement.
“Claims still open” pages
The reimbursement deadline was October 12, 2026. A look-alike domain or text link offering to file a claim now, or asking for card details or a fee, is not Kroll. Type www.fcawarrantysettlement.com yourself.
Payment-release fees and odd contact details
Kroll pays approved claims by mailed check, free. The only phone number in the notice is (833) 930-0207, and mail goes to P.O. Box 225391, New York, NY 10150-5391. Anyone asking for a fee to release your check is not the administrator.
fcawarrantysettlement.com — Questions People Actually Ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this case.
Is www.fcawarrantysettlement.com legit?
Yes. The court notice in Regueiro v. FCA US LLC, No. 2:22-cv-05521 (C.D. Cal.), directs class members to www.FCAwarrantysettlement.com. The settlement agreement says the website is created and maintained by Kroll Settlement Administration, the court-appointed administrator.
Who sent me the fcawarrantysettlement letter?
Kroll, as settlement administrator, using names and addresses from FCA US’s records of who bought or leased a class vehicle. The return address is Regueiro v. FCA US LLC, c/o Kroll Settlement Administration, P.O. Box 225391, New York, NY 10150-5391.
Can I still file a claim?
No. Reimbursement claims closed on October 12, 2026 (online by 11:59 PM PT or postmarked that day). The warranty extension does not require a claim. If the court grants final approval, it applies to vehicles within seven years of their in-service date and under 70,000 miles, whichever comes first.
How much will I get?
There is no flat payment. Reimbursement equals what you documented paying for a qualifying valve rocker arm, valve stem oil seal or valve tappet diagnosis or repair, as approved by Kroll. Without a past paid repair, your benefit is the warranty extension.
When will reimbursement checks be mailed?
Only after final approval. The hearing is set for October 28, 2026. Kroll mails checks within 21 days of FCA US funding the settlement, and each check is valid for 90 days — cash it promptly.
Kroll said my claim is incomplete. What now?
Kroll must answer each claim in writing within 60 days. If it proposes less than full reimbursement, you have 20 days from that notice to send the missing documents, and Kroll then has 35 days to decide. Disputed denials go to the lawyers for both sides and, if they cannot agree within 30 days, to a neutral third party.
Is this the same as the EcoDiesel settlement?
No. This case concerns gasoline vehicles with the 3.6L engine and valve-train parts under the California Emissions Warranty. The EcoDiesel settlement runs on its own website and has its own terms; this page does not cover it.
Should I call the court or FCA US?
No. The notice says: “Please do not contact the Court or FCA US’s counsel for information regarding this settlement.” Use the number in the notice, (833) 930-0207, or the settlement website.
