Three iPhone settlements are behind the searches, and only one is paying. The $95 million Siri recordings settlement had final reissued payments scheduled for September 21, 2026 — they must be cashed or deposited by November 5, 2026. The $250 million Apple Intelligence settlement pays nothing until after a February 24, 2027 approval hearing. The Canadian battery settlement has no payout date.

Which iPhone Settlement Is Paying Right Now
This page covers only the money. For the background on each case, see our iPhone lawsuit overview.
1. Siri recordings (Lopez v. Apple) — paying, final round. As of October 2026, the official site states: “Final reissued payments are scheduled to be distributed September 21, 2026. Payments must be cashed or deposited by November 5, 2026.” This is the only iPhone settlement payout running today.
2. Apple Intelligence / Siri AI (Landsheft v. Apple) — claims open, no payments. Claims are due December 21, 2026. Final approval is not decided until the February 24, 2027 hearing, so no iPhone settlement check from this fund can arrive in 2026.
3. Canada battery settlement — approved, unpaid. There is no confirmed iPhone settlement Canada payout date as of October 2026.
Case Details
Siri recordings: Lopez et al. v. Apple Inc., Case No. 4:19-cv-04577-JSW, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Judge Jeffrey S. White. Final Judgment was entered on October 14, 2025, and an objector's Ninth Circuit appeal (No. 25-7160) was dismissed on November 25, 2025, which cleared the way to pay. The administrator is Angeion Group, operating as the Lopez Voice Assistant Settlement Administrator.
Apple Intelligence: Landsheft, et al. v. Apple Inc., No. 5:25-cv-02668, same court, Judge Noel Wise. Preliminary approval was granted July 17, 2026.
Canada: approved by the Supreme Court of British Columbia in March 2024. It covers Canada except Quebec.
Status: One Payout Running, Two Waiting
Apple Intelligence — nothing payable. Payment requires final approval at the February 24, 2027 hearing, and then any appeals must run out. Some articles from September 2026 still cite an older September 29, 2027 hearing date; the parties moved it earlier.
Canada — stalled. A November 20, 2025 update said payments for approved claims were expected in early 2026. In late September 2026 the administrator told iPhone in Canada it was “still waiting for Class Counsel to complete their review” of contested claims, and gave no timeline.
Who Gets Money Automatically, and Who Had to File
No iPhone settlement pays automatically. Each one pays only people who filed a valid claim.
Siri recordings: you had to file a claim; the window closed in 2025. Claims covered up to five Siri devices used between September 17, 2014 and December 31, 2024. If you did not file, no payment is coming.
Apple Intelligence: you must file by December 21, 2026 at the official site. It covers the original U.S. buyer of an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model bought June 10, 2024 to March 29, 2025.
Canada: the claim window has closed, and the deadline to contest a rejected claim passed in July 2025.
How Much Each iPhone Settlement Pays
Apple Intelligence ($250 million fund, about 37 million devices): $25 per eligible device is the stated starting point. It can rise to as much as $95 if fewer valid claims come in, or fall below $25 if more do. Nothing has been paid.
Canada: Apple agreed to pay between $11,137,500 and $14,427,500 (Canadian dollars) in total, which the settlement translates into between $17.50 and $150 per claimant. No payout had been confirmed as of late September 2026.
How cases like this one end
Our copy of the federal courts’ own case database covers 16,001 other personal property damage casesclosed in U.S. federal district courts between 2015 and 2026, 11.3% of them filed as class actions:
- 32.5% ended in a settlement recorded by the court. Another 19.5% were dismissed voluntarily, which often follows a private settlement — so the real settlement share sits between 32.5% and 52.1%.
- 5.9% were decided on a motion before any trial.
- 1 in 90 reached a trial (1.1%), after a median of 27.5 months.
- Median time from filing to the end of the case: 8.4 months.
- Only 250 of them (1.6%) record a money award at all; the median of those is $443,000.

Three Things to Watch For
An active payout and an open claim period running at the same time make iPhone owners an easy target:
“Reissue your Siri payment” messages
The official site says no additional reissue requests are being processed. A text or email after September 2026 offering to reissue a Siri payment for a fee, or asking for bank login details, is not from the administrator. Real emails came from the LopezVoiceAssistantSettlement.com domain.
“Your $95 iPhone payment is ready”
The Apple Intelligence settlement has not paid anyone and cannot before the February 24, 2027 hearing. A message saying your AI settlement money is waiting, and asking for card or account details to release it, is fake.
Look-alike claim sites
The only claim site for the Apple Intelligence settlement is smartphoneaisettlement.com. Lookalike domains and ads promising faster or larger payments collect serial numbers and Apple account IDs. Type the address yourself rather than tapping a link.
iPhone Settlement Payout — Questions People Actually Ask
What is the iPhone settlement payout date?
It depends on the settlement. Siri recordings: final reissued payments were scheduled for September 21, 2026, and must be cashed or deposited by November 5, 2026. Apple Intelligence: no date yet; final approval is decided February 24, 2027. Canada battery: no date announced.
How can I track my settlement check?
For the Siri recordings settlement, use the claim portal at LopezVoiceAssistantSettlement.com with the Claimant ID Code and Confirmation Code from your claim confirmation. You can also call the administrator toll-free at 1-888-981-4106 or email Info@LopezVoiceAssistantSettlement.com. For the Canadian settlement, the official site uses a chatbot to confirm whether your claim was approved, rejected or not received.
How is the iPhone settlement payout sent — check, PayPal or direct deposit?
Siri recordings: claimants chose a physical check, an electronic check or ACH direct deposit. The reissue was offered only as an ACH payment. Apple Intelligence: the claim form lets you pick check, PayPal, Venmo or ACH.
My Siri settlement check expired or got lost. Can I get it replaced?
Not anymore. The reissue deadline has passed, and the official site says no additional reissue requests are being processed. Under the settlement agreement, money left uncashed after 120 days is forfeited to cover unexpected administration costs. It does not go back to Apple.
What is the iPhone settlement Canada payout date?
There is none as of October 2026. A November 20, 2025 update expected payments in early 2026, but in late September 2026 the administrator said it was still waiting for class counsel to finish reviewing contested claims and gave no timeline. Expect between $17.50 and $150 CAD per claimant when it does pay.
When will the $250 million Apple Intelligence settlement pay?
Not before the final approval hearing on February 24, 2027, and only if the court approves the settlement and any appeals are resolved. File by December 21, 2026 to be included. The amount is $25 per eligible device, and could go as high as $95 or below $25 depending on claim volume.
Can I get a refund for an iPhone 16?
Not through these settlements — none of them is a refund program. If you bought an iPhone 16 model in the U.S. between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025 as the original purchaser, you can file an Apple Intelligence claim for a per-device payment. Returns and refunds for a recent purchase go through Apple or the seller under their own policies.
What happens to Siri settlement money nobody cashes?
Under the settlement agreement, uncashed checks and failed ACH transfers are first used for any unexpected administration costs. If money is still left after that, class counsel and Apple's counsel must propose a cy pres distribution to the court. No date or recipient has been published. The money cannot revert to Apple.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
