Robinson v. Yellow Social Interactive, Ltd., Case No. 33-CV-2025-900072.00, Circuit Court of Franklin County, Alabama, Judge Brian P. Hamilton. The Pulsz settlement covers people who spent money on Pulsz.com or PulszBingo.com while in Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, New Jersey or Massachusetts, during state-by-state periods that all end August 31, 2026 — the same day Judge Hamilton granted preliminary approval. By default, class members get Gold Coins worth 27% of their net spending (purchases minus prize redemptions), less fees and costs, at 10,000 Gold Coins per dollar. Players who want money must submit an election form by November 30, 2026, pass the operator’s identity check, and receive 23% instead — with all cash elections together capped at 25% of an estimated total benefit of approximately $14 million. Exclusions and objections are also due November 30; the fairness hearing is December 31, 2026. The administrator is EisnerAmper; the official site is YSISettlement.com.

The short answer: coins unless you ask for cash
If you bought coins on Pulsz or Pulsz Bingo while you were in Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, New Jersey or Massachusetts, you are probably in this Pulsz settlement — and you do not have to do anything to get something. The official site states the default plainly: “You will receive the benefits in virtual currency and will give up your rights to sue YSI about the claims in this case.” That virtual currency is Gold Coins, the play-money side of the site, which the settlement agreement says “are non-redeemable, non-transferrable and carry no cash value.”
Money is a separate choice. To get it you must file an election form, online or by mail postmarked by November 30, 2026. That is the decision Deadspin described on October 8, 2026 as players weighing “cash or coin options.” No money or coins have gone out: Judge Brian P. Hamilton of the Circuit Court of Franklin County, Alabama granted only preliminary approval, on August 31, 2026, and will decide whether to approve the deal at a fairness hearing on December 31, 2026. As of October 9, 2026, the official site lists no payment date.
The defendant is Yellow Social Interactive Limited (“YSI”), the company behind both sites. The players alleged that selling virtual coins on these sweepstakes-style casino games violated the six states’ gambling laws. YSI denies the claims and that it violated any law; the court has not decided who is right.
How much: 23% in cash or 27% in coins — of your net spend, minus fees
Everything is calculated from your Net Purchase Amount: what you spent on a site during your state’s class period minus your “successful prize redemptions” on the same site. The agreement’s own example: a player who bought $300 and redeemed $200 in prizes has a net of $100. A player who bought $200 and redeemed $300 has a net of $0 and “would not be eligible to submit an Election Form.” If you won more than you spent, there is nothing to elect.
From that net figure, the settlement offers two rates. Coins (default): 27% of your net, “less the Settlement Administration Expenses and Attorney Fees and Expenses,” converted at 10,000 Gold Coins per dollar. The agreement’s example is a member whose adjusted amount is $50, who would receive 500,000 Gold Coins. Cash (by election): 23% of your net, less the same deductions. By our arithmetic, before fees and costs, a $100 net works out to $27 in coins — 270,000 Gold Coins — or $23 in cash. The fee share is not set yet: class counsel will seek no more than 30%, and each of the six class representatives no more than $10,000; counsel must post its fee request on the settlement site by November 16, 2026.
Cash is also capped. The agreement defines an “Estimated Total Benefit” as total net purchases across the six states times 25%, and says it “is expected to be approximately $14 million.” All cash elections together may not exceed 25% of that — by our arithmetic, about $3.5 million. If more players ask for cash than that, every cash payment is cut pro rata and the difference is paid in Gold Coins instead. The same numbers imply that net purchases by the class add up to roughly $56 million (our calculation, $14 million divided by 25%). Any money left in the fund after payments, fees and costs “shall be returned to Defendant.”
When the coins arrive is described two ways in the official papers. The settlement site’s FAQ says players who do not elect cash “will receive virtual coins in instalments over either two years or five years, depending on the amount of virtual coins to which you are entitled.” The signed agreement says YSI may spread delivery “over a period of up to 12 months, provided at least 20%” is deposited within 30 days of the start. The official documents do not reconcile the two; if the timing matters to you, ask the administrator.
Who is in — and what happens to accounts in Alabama, New Jersey and Tennessee
The class is everyone who spent money on Pulsz or Pulsz Bingo while in one of these states during these periods, all ending August 31, 2026:
- Alabama: from March 8, 2022
- Tennessee: from November 12, 2022
- Kentucky: from June 29, 2023
- Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts: from February 19, 2024
The agreement notes that YSI “has previously withdrawn services from Alabama, New Jersey, and Tennessee.” Accounts there are treated as “Dormant Accounts”: they are reopened only “for the sole purpose of playing games with Virtual Gold Coins awarded under this Agreement for at least 60 day period after activation,” may be terminated after 60 days of inactivity, and cannot receive Sweeps Coins, take part in sweepstakes games or make purchases. For players in those three states, that makes the coin default worth considerably less than it sounds, and the cash election the only way to get something you can spend outside the site.
Two more groups are treated differently. Players whose accounts were closed through self-exclusion or self-termination are “entitled to elect a Cash Settlement only” — the accounts are not reopened, so a self-excluded player who files nothing receives no usable coins. Accounts closed by YSI “as a result of fraud or otherwise for cause” get no benefits at all. The settlement also does not restore old coin balances or pay previously rejected redemption requests; those claims are released.
What to do by November 30, 2026
If you want cash: submit the election form through the “Submit an Election” button on YSISettlement.com, or by mail postmarked by November 30, 2026. The form asks for your name, address, email, phone, your Pulsz and Pulsz Bingo Customer IDs (log in and go to “My Account”), every email address tied to those accounts, and a signature under penalty of perjury. You pick one payment method: check, Zelle, PayPal or Venmo. If you have not already passed YSI’s identity (“KYC”) verification, you must complete it; players who fail verification get coins instead of cash. The agreement says payments are treated as “a non-taxable refund of previously made purchases” and that no Form W-9 is required; that is the parties’ position, not tax advice.
If you want coins: do nothing. If you want out: send an exclusion request by November 30, 2026 to info@YSISettlement.com or YSI Settlement Administrator, PO Box 1029, Baton Rouge, LA 70821, naming the case (Robinson v. Yellow Social Interactive, LTD, Case No. 33-CV-2025-900072.00) and including your name, phone, mailing address, email, Player IDs and associated emails, and an ink signature. Excluded players get nothing but keep their own right to sue. To object: file in writing with the court and send to counsel by the same date; the hearing is December 31, 2026 at 10 a.m., 410 N. Jackson Avenue, Russellville, Alabama.
When cash would arrive: the agreement says within 60 days after the “Effective Date” — after final approval and the end of any appeals. Checks are void after 90 days; money from an uncashed check or a failed electronic payment goes back to YSI and the player gets Gold Coins instead. Electronic payment avoids that risk.
Is the email real?
Probably, if it matches the court-approved text. The court ordered the administrator to email notice within 35 days of preliminary approval — by our count, by October 5, 2026 — and to send a reminder with a link to the election form 30 days before the deadline, which works out to about October 31, 2026. A digital ad campaign runs alongside. The approved email is headed “LEGAL NOTICE OF CLASS ACTION,” says “Our records indicate that you may be a Settlement Class Member,” and points only to YSISettlement.com and info@YSISettlement.com.
To be safe, type YSISettlement.com into your browser instead of clicking a link; the official site’s election button leads to a form hosted by the administrator. The administrator’s number is 1-833-656-1878; class counsel, Davis & Norris, LLP and Bedford, Rogers, & Bowling, P.C., take questions at 1-800-667-6759. You are not charged for class counsel. The notice asks people not to call the court or the clerk.
Context: why a sweepstakes casino is settling in Alabama
According to the agreement, class counsel began filing arbitrations and lawsuits against YSI in 2022, arguing that the sites are illegal gambling and that players can recover their losses under the laws of the six states. The listed cases ran in Franklin County, Alabama; in Tennessee state court; and in federal court in western Kentucky. YSI fought them with motions on choice of law, standing, contract terms, arbitration and whether its games are gambling at all. The settlement agreement is dated December 23, 2025; preliminary approval came eight months later. Besides the payouts, YSI agrees to keep a responsible-gaming page, a voluntary self-exclusion policy and “always free to play” mechanics in its Gold Coin games.
This is not the first Pulsz settlement. A separate, Kentucky-only case, Whiting v. Yellow Social Interactive in Henderson County, settled in 2023 for $1.32 million and is closed. Nor does this settlement touch the larger cases against the app stores and platforms that distributed casino-style games: the agreement says its release “will have no effect on the claims” in the Apple, Google Play, Facebook and Amazon litigation. The deal also sets no precedent on whether sweepstakes casinos are gambling — Deadspin noted it is a negotiated agreement, not a ruling. For comparison, a coins-only settlement with Huuuge Casino was rejected by a federal judge in January 2026; here, players at least have a cash option, if they ask for it in time.
