Is www.mcnadatabreachsettlement.com Legit? Yes — and the Claim Deadline Has Passed
Settled — Claims Period Closed
Claim deadline was October 19, 2026 · as of Oct 22, 2026
Yes. www.mcnadatabreachsettlement.com is the court-authorized website of the MCNA dental data breach settlement, Crowe v. Managed Care of North America, Inc., No. 0:23-cv-61065-AHS in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. It is run by the settlement administrator, Kroll Settlement Administration. The deadline to claim cash was October 19, 2026. Two years of medical data monitoring still comes to every class member who did not opt out. A similar-looking address, amcadatabreachsettlement.com, is also real — but it belongs to a different case, the AMCA medical debt collector breach.

Who Runs the Address and Who Sent Your Letter
Managed Care of North America (MCNA) is the largest dental insurer for state Medicaid and CHIP programs. According to the settlement notice, an unauthorized party potentially accessed its network between February 26 and March 7, 2023. MCNA began mailing breach letters on May 26, 2023; 8,923,662 people were notified.
The settlement letter or email you got in 2026 is a different mailing. It comes from Kroll Settlement Administration, the settlement administrator named in the notice. It names the case, lists (833) 930-0161 and www.MCNAdatabreachsettlement.com, and carries a unique enrollment code for monitoring. Kroll put out the same notice as a press release on August 13, 2026. Both the 2023 letter and the 2026 notice are real. Only the 2026 one is about the settlement.
Case details
Crowe, et al., v. Managed Care of North America, Inc., et al., Case No. 0:23-cv-61065-AHS, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The defendants are MCNA, Inc., MCNA Insurance Company and Healthplex, Inc. They deny all wrongdoing, and no court has found otherwise.
Mail for the administrator goes to Settlement Administrator – 83443, c/o Kroll Settlement Administration, P.O. Box 225391, New York, NY 10150-5391. The Final Approval Hearing is set for November 16, 2026 at the federal courthouse at 299 East Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
Status: Claims Closed, Final Approval Pending
If you did nothing, you are still in the class and still get the monitoring. Under the notice, your enrollment code becomes active within thirty days after the settlement’s Effective Date, which the notice estimates as January 15, 2027. That estimate can move if approval is delayed or appealed. For the benefits in detail, see our MCNA data breach settlement page.
Is the Letter About You?
The class is every living person in the United States who was sent a notice saying their information was potentially affected by the MCNA incident. If you received MCNA’s 2023 breach letter, you are in.
If your letter mentions AMCA, Labcorp, Quest or Sonic Healthcare, it is not about MCNA. AMCA was a medical debt collector whose systems were breached between about August 1, 2018 and March 30, 2019. Those cases are consolidated as MDL 2904 in New Jersey and have their own websites.
What the MCNA Settlement Pays
Second, cash for documented losses only: up to $2,500 per claim, from a total of up to $250,000. It is cut pro rata if valid claims exceed that total. Losses needed third-party proof and had to occur before March 7, 2026. That claim window closed on October 19, 2026. There was no flat cash payment for people without receipts.
Class counsel are asking for up to $6,400,000 in fees plus up to $1,313,000 in costs. The notice says the defendants pay these separately. To estimate other breach payouts, see the data breach settlement calculator.
How cases like this one end
Our copy of the federal courts’ own case database covers 16,001 other personal property damage casesclosed in U.S. federal district courts between 2015 and 2026, 11.3% of them filed as class actions:
- 32.5% ended in a settlement recorded by the court. Another 19.5% were dismissed voluntarily, which often follows a private settlement — so the real settlement share sits between 32.5% and 52.1%.
- 5.9% were decided on a motion before any trial.
- 1 in 90 reached a trial (1.1%), after a median of 27.5 months.
- Median time from filing to the end of the case: 8.4 months.
- Only 250 of them (1.6%) record a money award at all; the median of those is $443,000.

Three Things to Watch For
Two near-identical web addresses, two real Kroll settlements and a claim deadline that has passed — that combination is what imposters use:
MCNA vs. AMCA lookalike addresses
www.mcnadatabreachsettlement.com and amcadatabreachsettlement.com are both real, for different cases. A third variant with a number, amcadatabreachsettlement83395.com, was reported for the Labcorp track. Anything else is unverified. Check the case number on your notice: 0:23-cv-61065 for MCNA, 19-md-2904 for AMCA.
“Late claim” or “reopen your claim” offers
The MCNA claim deadline was October 19, 2026. Nobody can reopen it for a fee. And the monitoring never needed a claim form, so nobody has to “file” it for you.
Requests for your enrollment code or Social Security number
Your code is activated by you, on the CyEx enrollment site named in the notice, after it goes live. Treat a caller or texter who asks you to read it out, or who wants your Social Security number to “activate” benefits, as fake. If you lost your code, call Kroll at (833) 930-0161.
mcnadatabreachsettlement.com — Questions People Actually Ask
Short answers to the questions people ask most about this case.
Is www.mcnadatabreachsettlement.com legit?
Yes. It is the settlement website named in the court-authorized notice in Crowe v. Managed Care of North America, Inc., No. 0:23-cv-61065-AHS (S.D. Fla.). The notice says it was authorized by a federal court. It is not a solicitation from a lawyer, and you are not being sued. Kroll Settlement Administration runs it; the phone number is (833) 930-0161.
Is amcadatabreachsettlement.com the same settlement?
No. amcadatabreachsettlement.com belongs to In re American Medical Collection Agency, Inc. Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, MDL 2904 in the District of New Jersey. Its current notice covers a $6,438,578.20 settlement with Sonic Healthcare U.S.A., Aurora Diagnostics, Clinical Pathology Laboratories and Austin Pathology Associates. It is also run by Kroll, at (833) 453-3715. So if you searched “amca data breach settlement legit”: the site is real, but it is not MCNA. That settlement takes claims until January 4, 2027, and the opt-out and objection deadline is December 3, 2026. Judge Jamel K. Semper holds the approval hearing on January 7, 2027.
Is the AMCA data breach settlement with Labcorp legit, and can I still claim?
For anyone searching “amca data breach settlement labcorp legit”: yes, it is real, and it is closed for claims. Labcorp’s $35,000,000 settlement in the same MDL had a claim deadline of September 3, 2026. The HIPAA Journal reported its own website, amcadatabreachsettlement83395.com. Paubox, citing Claim Depot, reported final approval on August 20, 2026; we have not confirmed that on the docket. A separate $2,287,455 deal with 44 states and the District of Columbia, announced September 24, 2026, pays the states, not patients. For payment timing, see our Labcorp settlement page and the AMCA payout date page.
How do I know if a settlement email is real?
Compare it with the official notice. A real MCNA email names Crowe v. Managed Care of North America, gives case number 0:23-cv-61065-AHS, and points only to www.MCNAdatabreachsettlement.com and (833) 930-0161. Written mail goes to Kroll at P.O. Box 225391, New York, NY 10150-5391. A real notice does not ask for a fee. Type the address yourself instead of clicking. Our page on Kroll Settlement Administration explains its notices.
Can I still file an MCNA claim?
Not for cash. The deadline for documented-loss claims, opt-outs and objections was October 19, 2026, and as of October 22, 2026 no extension has been reported. The monitoring benefit needs no claim form: you get it if you did not opt out.
When will I get the MCNA monitoring or my payment?
Only after final approval and any appeals. The hearing is November 16, 2026. The notice estimates the Effective Date as January 15, 2027, with monitoring codes active within thirty days after it. Then you enroll on the CyEx site named in your notice. No payment date for documented-loss claims has been announced.
How do I know if I was a victim of a data breach?
For MCNA, the test is the mail. The class is every living person in the U.S. who was sent MCNA’s breach notice, which started going out May 26, 2023. That letter lists what may have been involved: name, date of birth, address, Social Security number, driver’s license, insurance and Medicaid or Medicare ID, and dental care information. Not every item applied to everyone. If you never got a notice and do not have one, call Kroll at (833) 930-0161 to ask.
How do I claim a data breach settlement if I missed the MCNA deadline?
You cannot claim cash from MCNA any more. If your records were with AMCA through Sonic Healthcare, Aurora Diagnostics, Clinical Pathology Laboratories or Austin Pathology Associates, that settlement is still open. You can file at amcadatabreachsettlement.com by January 4, 2027, for up to $5,000 in documented losses or an estimated $50 payment. Mailed claims go to Kroll at PO Box 5324, New York, NY 10150-5324. Other open cases are on our open settlements list.
