If you searched for a Health First lawsuit because other hospitals are being sued over MyChart and website tracking: as of October 8, 2026 we found no such case against Health First, the four-hospital system in Brevard County, Florida. There is no Health First settlement to claim, no fund and no deadline. Below is what does exist — an old email breach and two antitrust cases — and what you can check yourself.

What We Looked For
Across the country, hospitals have been sued for putting tracking code — the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and similar tools — on their websites and patient portals. Those lawsuits allege the code sent details about what patients clicked, searched or booked to advertising companies. A Health First MyChart lawsuit of that kind would be filed against Health First itself, not against Epic, which makes the MyChart software (why the hospital is the defendant).
We searched court-reporting services, settlement listings and news coverage for a tracking case naming Health First. We found none. At least one plaintiffs’ firm advertises general investigations of healthcare providers over Meta Pixel tracking, but an investigation is not a lawsuit, and we found no filed complaint against Health First.
Case Details
The Health First class action lawsuit that did reach federal court was about prices, not privacy. Colucci et al. v. Health First, Inc., No. 6:21-cv-00681 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, was filed on April 19, 2021. Patients alleged that Health First monopolized acute hospital care in Brevard County and pushed doctors into exclusive referral deals. Judge Roy B. Dalton Jr. let most of the proposed class action go forward in August 2021. Reporting from March 2023 says the patients had dropped the case; in May 2023 the judge declined to sanction them. No patient settlement was reported.
Earlier, Omni Healthcare Inc. v. Health First, Inc., No. 6:13-cv-01509 in the same court, was brought by doctors, not patients. It settled in August 2016 on the second day of trial.
Status: No Tracking Case, Nothing to Claim
What You Can Check Yourself
Health First’s patient portal is MyChart, at mychart.hf.org. Since no case exists, nobody is “in a class” today. If you want to be ready in case one is filed, write down three things now, while you remember them:
Where: the public hf.org website, MyChart, or both.
What: booked an appointment, searched a condition or a doctor, paid a bill, read test results.
When: roughly the last time you did it.
Those are the same questions our MyChart tracking check asks. Tracking settlements elsewhere have usually defined the class by who used the website or portal during a set period, so dates matter.
What a Case Like This Could Pay
The money you may have seen reported with Health First’s name went to doctors. The Omni case was reported as settling for $360 million in August 2016, though Healthcare Dive reported the terms were not released. Patients were not part of that case.

Three Things to Watch For
When nearby hospitals have real tracking settlements, Health First patients get messages that borrow them:
“Your Health First MyChart settlement is ready”
There is no Health First settlement. An email or text with a link to “claim your payment” and asking for your MyChart login or Social Security number is phishing. Health First’s own 2018 breach started with phishing emails.
A real notice from a different hospital
Florida patients often use more than one system. A genuine settlement notice from another hospital does not mean Health First is involved. Check the defendant named in the notice before you assume it is about Health First.
“Sign up now for the Health First class action”
Ads asking you to join a Health First class action are lawyer recruitment, not a claim filing. Without a filed case there is no class to join. Read any retainer before signing it.
Health First Lawsuit — Questions People Actually Ask
Is there a Health First MyChart lawsuit?
Not that we could find as of October 8, 2026. We found no case against Health First over the Meta Pixel, Google tracking or MyChart, and no settlement or claim form.
Does Health First use MyChart?
Yes. Health First’s patient portal is MyChart, reached at mychart.hf.org. MyChart is Epic’s software, but in tracking cases elsewhere the defendant is the hospital that ran its own website and portal, not Epic.
Was there a Health First data breach?
Yes, in 2018. Phishing emails gave attackers access to employee email accounts from February to May 2018. Names, addresses and birth dates were exposed, plus some Social Security numbers; Health First said medical records were not affected. About 42,000 people were notified and offered 12 months of AllClear ID monitoring. We found no lawsuit or settlement tied to it.
Is there a Health First settlement I can claim?
No. The only large Health First settlement we found was the 2016 Omni antitrust case, and the plaintiffs were doctors. Patients have nothing to claim from it.
What was the Health First class action lawsuit about?
Colucci v. Health First, No. 6:21-cv-00681, filed April 19, 2021, alleged that Health First monopolized acute hospital care in Brevard County, boycotted rivals and pushed doctors into exclusive referral arrangements. The patients dropped it in 2023 and no settlement was reported.
Is Health First the same as HealthFirst or First Health?
No. This page is about Health First, Inc., the hospital system based in Brevard County, Florida. Similarly named companies elsewhere are unrelated, and their breaches or lawsuits do not involve Health First patients.
I got a settlement notice mentioning a Florida hospital. Is it about Health First?
Check the defendant’s name in the notice and the case number. Real notices name the court and the administrator and point to an official settlement website. If the defendant is a different hospital, the notice is about that hospital’s patients.
What should I do now?
Nothing is required. Write down whether you used the hf.org website or MyChart, what you did there, and roughly when. Never give your MyChart password to anyone offering a “settlement.” If you were in the 2018 breach, a free credit freeze is still worth having.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
