As of October 12, 2026, no Poppi settlement payment date has been announced that we could verify. The last dated step was the final judgment on June 15, 2026. Only people who filed a claim by September 26, 2025 can be paid. Here is what has happened, what still has to happen, and how to check your claim.

Where the Poppi Payout Stands
This page covers one thing: when the money arrives. For the case itself, see our Poppi lawsuit page.
The settlement is approved and final in the trial court. Judge Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr. granted final approval on April 14, 2026, ruled on attorneys' fees on June 4, 2026, and signed the stipulated final judgment on June 15, 2026, which dismissed the case and closed it. The fee order directs the parties and the administrator, Verita Global LLC, to implement the settlement “in accordance with the terms of the settlement agreement.”
What we could not find is a published distribution date. The settlement website has said that if there are appeals, “Class Payments will not be made until the appeals are resolved and the Settlement becomes effective.” The payment deadline itself is in the settlement agreement, which we could not read, so we do not estimate one. At least one website said payments were coming in May 2026, before the June 15 judgment, and nothing in the court record supports it.
Case Details
In re VNGR Beverage, LLC Litigation, No. 4:24-cv-03229-HSG, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California (Oakland), before Judge Haywood S. Gilliam, Jr. It combines Cobbs v. VNGR Beverage, LLC, No. 4:24-cv-03229, Lesh v. VNGR Beverage, LLC, No. 3:24-cv-03612, and Wheeler v. VNGR Beverage, LLC, No. 4:24-cv-04396. VNGR Beverage, LLC does business as Poppi. The three orders that control the payout are the final approval order (Dkt. No. 80), the fee order (Dkt. No. 85) and the stipulated judgment (Dkt. No. 88).
Status: Final Judgment Entered, No Payment Date
Before money moves, the settlement has to become effective under the agreement's terms, and Verita has to finish reviewing claims. Verita's last count in the court record, from October 17, 2025, listed about 2.5 million no-receipt claims and 38,542 receipt claims “pending final review.” We checked again on October 12, 2026 and found no later update.
The court has already set what follows the payments. Class counsel must file a Post-Distribution Accounting within 21 days after the settlement checks become stale and post it on the settlement website. The court is holding back 10% of the attorneys' fees until that filing. Any money left over goes to Feeding America, the court-approved cy pres recipient.
Who Gets Paid, and Who Does Not
Only people who filed a claim. The settlement website called the claim form “the only way to receive a Class Payment.” The deadline was September 26, 2025. If you bought Poppi between January 23, 2020 and July 18, 2025 but did not file, you get nothing. Nobody is paid automatically.
Claims from one household count as one. A “Household” is “any number of persons occupying the same dwelling unit,” and multiple claims from the same household are treated as a single claim. Six class members excluded themselves and are not bound by the judgment. The court also noted that Verita identified 137,942 duplicate claims and 1.8 million fraudulent submissions during review.
How Much Each Claimant Gets
The court was blunt about the math. From the $8,900,000 fund it awarded $2,225,000 in attorneys' fees (25%, not the 30% requested), $23,593.48 in expenses and $100 to each of the three named plaintiffs. It said “only around $6,675,000” would be left after fees, before administration costs, for nearly 2.5 million claims. It warned that class members “may receive less or substantially less” than the maximum. If money is left over, the cap for no-proof claims can rise to $80. The orders we read do not explain how the $5 minimum works alongside a pro rata cut.
How cases like this one end
Our copy of the federal courts’ own case database covers 25,309 other fraud casesclosed in U.S. federal district courts between 2015 and 2026, 27.6% of them filed as class actions:
- 17.1% ended in a settlement recorded by the court. Another 22.9% were dismissed voluntarily, which often follows a private settlement — so the real settlement share sits between 17.1% and 39.9%.
- 10.2% were decided on a motion before any trial.
- 1 in 112 reached a trial (0.9%), after a median of 29.9 months.
- Median time from filing to the end of the case: 7 months.
- Only 761 of them (3%) record a money award at all; the median of those is $663,000.

Three Things to Watch For
About 2.5 million claimants waiting on small payments make an easy target:
Payment emails not from poppisettlement.com
The administrator's published contacts are admin@poppisettlement.com, 1-833-586-8111 and P.O. Box 301134, Los Angeles, CA 90030-1134. A message that asks for a fee, a bank login or your full Social Security number to “release” a Poppi payment does not come from Verita.
“Late claim” or “reopen your claim” offers
The claim deadline was September 26, 2025, and the judgment is final. Nobody can add you to the payout now, for a fee or otherwise.
Made-up payment dates and tracking links
At least one website said payments were coming in May 2026, before the final judgment existed. A confident date with no court or administrator source is a guess. Don't enter claim details into “track your payment” pages that aren't run by Verita.
Poppi Payout — Questions People Actually Ask
When will the Poppi settlement be paid?
As of October 12, 2026, we could not verify an announced Poppi settlement payment date. The court entered final judgment on June 15, 2026. Payment depends on the settlement becoming effective under the agreement and on Verita finishing its claim review. The settlement website said payments will not be made until any appeals are resolved.
How much can you get from Poppi settlement?
With proof of purchase, up to $0.75 per can. Without proof, up to $16 per household. Both amounts are adjusted pro rata. With about $6,675,000 left after fees and nearly 2.5 million claims, the court warned that payments may be “less or substantially less” than the maximum.
How do I check my poppi settlement claim status?
Contact the administrator, Verita Global LLC, at admin@poppisettlement.com or 1-833-586-8111, or use the official site, poppisettlement.com. Give the name and email address you used on your claim. Don't call the court. The settlement website asks people not to.
Will I get a check or an electronic payment?
The fee order mentions “settlement checks” becoming stale, so at least some payments are expected by check. We could not see which payment options the claim form offered. For your poppi settlement check status or payment method, ask Verita directly.
What if my Poppi check expires or gets lost?
Contact Verita promptly and ask whether it can reissue the check. The reissue rules are in the settlement agreement, which we could not read. The court order sets what comes next: once checks go stale, class counsel has 21 days to file a Post-Distribution Accounting, and leftover money goes to Feeding America.
Will there be a second Poppi payment?
None is scheduled. If money is left over, payments can go up pro rata, to as much as $80 for a no-proof claim. Any remaining funds go to Feeding America. We found no second distribution in the court record.
I bought Poppi but never filed a claim. Will I get money?
No. The claim form was the only way to be paid, and the deadline was September 26, 2025. Under the June 15, 2026 judgment, every class member except the six who opted out has released their claims.
Is this the same as the Blue Cross Blue Shield settlement payout?
No. The Poppi payout is a consumer settlement over soda marketing. Blue Cross Blue Shield is a separate settlement with its own administrator and payment schedule. For that one, see our BCBS settlement payment dates page.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
