What We Checked, and What We Found
Ochsner's patient portal is called MyOchsner (my.ochsner.org and the MyOchsner app). It runs on Epic, the same software as MyChart, which is why many patients search for an “Ochsner Health MyChart lawsuit.”
Tracking: we searched for any class action over pixels or analytics on Ochsner websites or MyOchsner and found none. When Louisiana pixel suits were filed in February 2023, they named LCMC Health and Willis-Knighton — not Ochsner.
Ochsner's own policies do describe tracking. Its online terms say it uses “cookies and pixel tags” and shares site-usage information with “social media, advertising and analytics partners,” naming AdRoll, Google Display Network and Facebook. The MyOchsner app policy says Ochsner tracks pages visited inside the app to deliver “customized content and advertising.” A disclosure is not a lawsuit, and no court has found anything unlawful here.
Case Details
No tracking case to report. The only Ochsner-named class action we found is a state-court data breach case: Clark, et al., v. Regional Urology, LLC, et al., Case No. 662345, in the District Court for the Parish of Caddo, Louisiana. The defendants are Regional Urology and Ochsner LSU Health. The first suit was filed October 17, 2025; three more followed and were consolidated. The plaintiffs plead negligence, breach of implied contract, unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty and declaratory judgment. The defendants deny wrongdoing. Status: No Tracking Case; One Small Breach Settlement Open
Regional Urology breach: settlement awaiting final approval. The court granted preliminary approval. The opt-out and objection deadline is October 16, 2026. The final approval hearing is set for October 19, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. The claim deadline is November 16, 2026. This settlement covers only the Regional Urology incident; it is not an Ochsner Health data breach across the whole system.
Are You Affected?
Regional Urology settlement: the class is U.S. residents whose information was potentially compromised in the October 2025 incident. The exposed files came from retired Regional Urology systems and covered care before December 31, 2022. If you were affected, you should have received a notice; mailing began August 17, 2026. The notice carries the login ID and PIN you need to claim online.
Ochsner websites or MyOchsner: there is no class to join. If you want to keep a record anyway, note whether you used the website or MyOchsner, what you did there and when. Our form asks which hospital or health system it is about and whether you have received a letter. See our MyChart claim form guide.
What Is Payable, and What Is Not
Regional Urology breach (if the court grants final approval): up to $5,000 for documented losses incurred between October 5, 2025 and November 16, 2026; one year of medical data monitoring; or, instead, a one-time $40 cash payment that needs no documents.
For context only, other hospital tracking cases have paid: The Christ Hospital in Ohio settled for a $7 million fund (details), Loyola Medicine for $2.67 million (details), and SSM Health paid $31.50 per claimant (details). Those cases do not predict anything for Ochsner. Try the MyChart settlement calculator or the data breach settlement calculator.

Three Things to Watch For
A well-known name, a portal millions use and one real settlement make an easy setup for imposters:
“Claim your Ochsner MyChart settlement”
There is no Ochsner tracking settlement. A page or text asking for your MyOchsner username, password or Social Security number to “secure your payment” is collecting data, not filing a claim.
Fake Regional Urology claim links
The real site is regionalurologydatasettlement.com, and online claims use the login ID and PIN printed on your notice. No administrator charges a fee. Type the address yourself rather than clicking a link.
Calls posing as MyOchsner support
Hang up and call MyOchsner support yourself at 1-877-339-2637. Nobody legitimate needs your portal password or a one-time code to “verify” you for a lawsuit.
Ochsner Health Lawsuit — Questions People Actually Ask
Is there an Ochsner Health MyChart lawsuit?
Not that we could find. As of October 6, 2026, we found no lawsuit or settlement over Meta Pixel, Google or other tracking on Ochsner websites or the MyOchsner portal.
Is the Ochsner patient portal MyChart?
Ochsner calls it MyOchsner, at my.ochsner.org and in the MyOchsner app. It is built on Epic, the company behind MyChart. Ochsner tells patients who used the MyChart app for Ochsner care to switch to the MyOchsner app.
Has there been an Ochsner Health data breach?
The one with a class action is the Regional Urology incident: files from retired systems were taken starting October 5, 2025, affecting up to 4,519 patients. Per the breach report, no other Ochsner LSU Health systems were involved.
How much does the Regional Urology settlement pay?
Up to $5,000 for documented losses, plus one year of medical data monitoring, or instead a one-time $40 cash payment. The court still has to grant final approval.
What is the deadline?
Claims are due November 16, 2026. The deadline to opt out or object is October 16, 2026. Doing nothing means no payment and giving up the right to sue over the same claims.
Does Ochsner use tracking on its website?
Its online terms say it uses cookies and pixel tags and shares site-usage information with social media, advertising and analytics partners. That is a disclosure, not a finding of wrongdoing, and no lawsuit over it has been found.
What did other hospital tracking cases pay?
The Christ Hospital settled for a $7 million fund, Loyola Medicine for $2.67 million, and SSM Health paid $31.50 per claimant. Those were different hospitals with their own facts.
What can I do right now?
If you got a Regional Urology notice, file by November 16, 2026. For MyOchsner, review your privacy settings and keep a note of what you used and when. Privacy questions can go to Ochsner's Data Governance Department at (504) 842-5309.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
