The SSM Health MyChart lawsuit is Jane Doe v. SSM Health Care Corporation, a Missouri state-court case over Meta and other tracking tools on the SSM Health MyChart portal. It settled for $31.50 per valid claim. The claim deadline was November 25, 2025, and, per ClaimDepot, payments began going out on March 31, 2026. As of October 5, 2026 we know of no new SSM Health MyChart case and no open claim form. One thing is still pending: the separate SSM Health data breach settlement over the 2023 Navvis ransomware attack, whose pro rata cash payments are estimated for April 5, 2028.

What the Two Lawsuits Said
1. The MyChart tracking case. The lawsuit alleged that SSM Health added the Meta Pixel and other third-party tracking tools to its MyChart patient portal, and that these sent information such as patient status, physicians, health conditions, treatments and facilities visited to tracking vendors without consent. Third parties named in coverage of the case include Google, Meta and Microsoft. Nobody broke in — the claim was that the portal itself passed data along. SSM Health “firmly denies” the claims, per the court notice.
2. The Navvis data breach case. Navvis & Company, a population-health vendor that worked for SSM Health, was hit by ransomware. According to the official settlement website, an unauthorized party was in Navvis’ network between July 12 and July 25, 2023 and reached the private information of approximately 2.8 million people — names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, health plan and health record information. The suit alleged that reasonable security would have prevented it. Navvis and SSM deny any wrongdoing.
Case Details
Both cases were in Missouri state court, not federal court.
MyChart case: Jane Doe v. SSM Health Care Corporation d/b/a SSM Health, Case No. 2222-CC10014-01, Circuit Court of the City of St. Louis. ClassAction.org lists it as filed December 5, 2022, with preliminary approval of the settlement on September 2, 2025. Settlement website: SSMHealthDataSettlement.com, 1-877-757-3879.
Navvis breach case: John Doe et al. v. SSM Health Care Corporation d/b/a SSM Health et al., Case No. 2422-CC00208-01, same court. Several suits were combined into one complaint filed March 11, 2024, per the HIPAA Journal; a related federal case, Rekoske v. Navvis & Company, LLC, No. 4:24-cv-29, is named in the settlement agreement. The court issued its Final Approval Order and Judgment on July 10, 2025. Official site: SettlementNavvis.com.
Status: Both Settled, Both Closed to New Claims
Navvis breach settlement: closed to claims, partly still paying. The claim deadline was July 7, 2025. Per the official site, documented-loss reimbursements were estimated to begin September 19, 2025, while the pro rata cash payments are estimated to begin April 5, 2028, once Navvis pays the later installments of the fund. If you filed a cash claim and have heard nothing, that is the reason.
As of October 5, 2026 we found no newer SSM Health class action with an open claim form.
Were You in Either Class?
MyChart class: anyone who is or was an SSM Health patient and logged into the SSM Health MyChart portal between July 6, 2020 and February 10, 2023 — about 1.239 million people, per ClassAction.org. ClaimDepot says this also covered patients of affiliate hospitals that use SSM Health’s Epic record, if they used the SSM Health MyChart portal. SSM Health operates in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, so a St. Louis MyChart user from that period was very likely in the class.
Navvis class: U.S. residents whose information was compromised in the July 2023 incident. Navvis mailed notices between September 22, 2023 and June 6, 2024. Not everyone in it was an SSM patient: the stolen data also came from other Navvis clients, including Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and Allina Health.
Being in a class only mattered if you filed by the deadline. Both deadlines have passed; no new sign-up exists. See all MyChart cases on our MyChart claim form page.
What Each Settlement Pays
Navvis breach: a fund of up to $6.5 million. Valid claimants could get documented out-of-pocket losses up to $2,000, documented extraordinary losses up to $5,000 (per ClaimDepot), two years of three-bureau credit monitoring, and a pro rata cash payment capped at $150 unless that cap would leave money unspent. The fund is paid in tranches: $5,500,000 first, then $500,000, then up to $500,000 more — which is why the cash payments are scheduled for 2028.
No new money is available from either case. If you want to model a future breach payout, use our data breach settlement calculator.

Three Things to Watch For
Two closed settlements with money still moving is a familiar setup for imposters:
“Reopen your SSM MyChart claim”
The MyChart claim window closed November 25, 2025, and there is no second round. A site or text offering to file a late SSM claim for a fee, or asking for your MyChart login, is not connected to the settlement.
“Release your Navvis payment early”
Navvis cash payments are estimated for April 5, 2028 because the fund is paid in tranches. Nobody can speed that up for a fee. Real updates come from SettlementNavvis.com or info@settlementnavvis.com.
Calls about your “expired check”
MyChart checks void after 180 days, which gives callers a story. The administrator does not phone to ask for your Social Security number or bank login; call 1-877-757-3879 yourself.
SSM Health MyChart Lawsuit — Questions People Ask
I use SSM Health MyChart in St. Louis — am I in any settlement now?
Possibly you were, but nothing is open now. If you logged into SSM Health MyChart between July 6, 2020 and February 10, 2023, you were in the class, but claims closed November 25, 2025. If you got a Navvis breach notice, that claim deadline was July 7, 2025. Current openings are on our open class action settlements list.
Is there a new SSM Health class action lawsuit in 2026?
As of October 5, 2026 we found no new SSM Health class action with an open claim form. The two cases people search for — the MyChart tracking case and the Navvis data breach case — are both settled and closed to new claims.
How much did the SSM Health MyChart settlement pay?
$31.50 per valid claim, plus an optional year of CyEx Privacy Shield Pro. Per ClaimDepot, payments began March 31, 2026.
I filed a MyChart claim but never got paid. What now?
Contact the settlement administrator at 1-877-757-3879 or info@SSMHealthDataSettlement.com. Checks void 180 days after issue, so an unbanked check from the first round has already expired; ask whether it can be reissued.
What was the SSM Health data breach?
A ransomware attack on SSM Health’s vendor Navvis in July 2023 that exposed data of about 2.8 million people, including Social Security numbers and health plan information. The class action, Case No. 2422-CC00208-01, settled for up to $6.5 million.
When will the Navvis breach cash payment arrive?
The official site estimates pro rata cash payments will begin April 5, 2028, after Navvis funds the later tranches. The cash payment is capped at $150. Documented-loss reimbursements were estimated to start September 19, 2025.
Was Epic, the company behind MyChart, sued?
Not in these cases. The defendant was SSM Health, which ran the portal and, the lawsuit alleged, the tracking tools on it. That is the usual pattern — see our news piece Is MyChart being sued? and, for a case still open, the Wellstar MyChart lawsuit.
Is an email about the SSM Health settlement real?
The real MyChart notices came from the administrator and carried a Unique ID and PIN; they never asked for a fee. With claims closed since November 25, 2025, any message asking you to “file now” for SSM MyChart money is not from the settlement.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
