The Raging Waters settlement is real and it is open. The claim deadline is November 24, 2026. One form covers all your orders. Nobody is paid until the court grants final approval.

Independent information service: Settlement Insight is not the settlement administrator, is not affiliated with or endorsed by the company named above, and is not a law firm. Submitting this form does not file a claim — it shares your information with our participating legal intake partners, who may contact you about your options.

What the Lawsuit Says Happened

The case is about drip pricing. The lawsuit alleges that Festival Fun Parks, LLC, the company behind Raging Waters, failed to adequately disclose a mandatory processing fee that was added near the end of the checkout process when people bought admission tickets on ragingwaters.com.

The plaintiff claims this violated California’s Unfair Competition Law and also asserts a quasi-contract/unjust enrichment claim. Festival Fun Parks denies any liability or wrongdoing and has not conceded that any claim is valid. The settlement came from a mediator’s proposal that both sides accepted.

Case Details

The case is Andrea Velazquez v. Festival Fun Parks, LLC, Case No. 24STCV20667, in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles. It is assigned to Judge Elihu M. Berle, Department SS6, at the Spring Street Courthouse. This is a state-court case, not a federal one.

The suit was filed on August 15, 2024. Festival Fun Parks tried to force the claims into individual arbitration; the court denied that motion on January 17, 2025. Class Counsel is Dovel & Luner, LLP. The official site, run by administrator Angeion Group, is RagingWatersSettlement.com.

Status: Claims Open, Final Approval Hearing November 9

As of October 2026, the settlement is preliminarily approved and taking claims. Judge Berle signed the preliminary approval order on July 6, 2026. The deadline to opt out or object was September 28, 2026 and has passed.

The final approval hearing is set for November 9, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.; the notice warns the date can change. The claim deadline is November 24, 2026 (online, or mailed with a postmark by that date). If the court approves the deal, payments go out only after any appeals are resolved. For the arithmetic behind the fund, see our news analysis of the Raging Waters fee settlement.

Don't miss the claim deadline

Claims are due by November 24, 2026. We'll email you 7 days and 1 day before the deadline.

Who Qualifies

You are in the class if you lived in the United States, bought admission tickets on ragingwaters.com between June 1, 2020 and June 22, 2026, and paid a “Processing Fee” on that purchase. The settlement agreement estimates 157,737 class members.

Tickets bought at the gate or through other sellers are not covered by this class definition. You do not need receipts: the claim form asks you to attest under penalty of perjury that you qualify. If you got an email or postcard, it carries a Notice ID; the claim form asks for it only if you received a notice. Made several orders? You still file just one form.

How Much You Could Get

Festival Fun Parks is paying $850,000 into a non-reversionary fund. Requested deductions are $283,333.33 in attorneys’ fees, $13,965.86 in litigation costs, $67,000 for notice and administration and a $2,500 service award. If the court grants all of them, $483,200.81 is left for claimants.

That remainder is split pro rata: your share depends on how much in processing fees you paid compared with everyone else who files. There is no fixed per-person amount. The fewer people who claim, the larger each share. Class Counsel told the court in August 2026 that over 5% of class members had already filed. You choose a Prepaid Mastercard, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or a paper check. Checks expire after 180 days; uncashed money goes to the National Consumer Law Center, not back to the company.

Three Things to Watch For

Most Raging Waters notices went out by email, which makes look-alike messages easy to send:

Fake claim sites with similar names

The only official site is RagingWatersSettlement.com, and the official toll-free number is (888) 558-4218. Type the address yourself instead of tapping a link in a message that only claims to be the notice.

Requests for card numbers or a fee

Filing is free. The claim form asks for contact details, an optional Notice ID and how you want to be paid. It does not ask for your credit card number, bank login or Social Security number, and nobody charges to file.

“Pay us to get a bigger share”

Shares are set by a pro rata formula based on the processing fees you paid compared with all eligible claimants. No service, lawyer or app can raise your payment, and you already have a court-appointed lawyer at no cost to you.

Raging Waters Settlement — Questions People Actually Ask

Is the Raging Waters settlement legit?

Yes. RagingWatersSettlement.com is the official website authorized by the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Velazquez v. Festival Fun Parks, LLC, Case No. 24STCV20667. The administrator is Angeion Group, and questions go to (888) 558-4218. An email about it can still be fake, so go to the site directly.

What is the deadline to file a claim?

November 24, 2026, online or by mail postmarked by that date. The September 28, 2026 deadline to opt out or object has passed.

How much will I get from the Raging Waters settlement?

No fixed amount. If the court approves every requested deduction, $483,200.81 is shared pro rata based on the processing fees each claimant paid. Your share depends on how many people file.

When will payments be sent?

Not before final approval. The hearing is set for November 9, 2026. Payments go out after the court approves the settlement and any appeals are resolved; the notice warns appeals can take more than a year.

Do I need a receipt or proof of purchase?

No receipt is required. You attest under penalty of perjury that you lived in the U.S., bought admission tickets on ragingwaters.com between June 1, 2020 and June 22, 2026 and paid a processing fee. A Notice ID helps if you got one.

What happens if I do nothing?

You get no money, and if the court approves the settlement you give up the right to sue Festival Fun Parks over these processing fees.

Who owns Raging Waters now?

The defendant in this case is Festival Fun Parks, LLC; the release also names Palace Entertainment, Herschend Family Entertainment and Parques Reunidos. Wikipedia currently lists Raging Waters Los Angeles in San Dimas as owned and operated by Lucky Strike Entertainment. Ownership does not change who qualifies or the deadline.

Has Raging Waters closed?

Not as a whole. Per Wikipedia, the Sacramento park’s lease was ended on November 8, 2022, and the San Jose park did not reopen for 2024 (announced September 6, 2023); it later became CaliBunga. Raging Waters Los Angeles in San Dimas is the park listed as still owned and operated. For hours or tickets, use the park’s own site — this page only covers the fee settlement.
