As of October 6, 2026, we found no Intermountain Health lawsuit over Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or similar tracking on its website or its MyChart-based patient app. There is no settlement, no fund, no claim form and no deadline. Patients in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado and Montana have nothing to file. Below: what we did find, and what you can check yourself.

What We Looked For
Over the past few years, dozens of hospital systems have been sued on the same theory: that tracking code on the public website or inside the MyChart portal sent what patients clicked and typed to Meta or Google. We checked whether that has happened to Intermountain Health.
Who Intermountain is. Intermountain Health, called Intermountain Healthcare until 2023, is a not-for-profit system based in Salt Lake City with 33 hospitals and 385 clinics. It absorbed Colorado-based SCL Health on April 1, 2022, which brought in hospitals in Colorado and Montana.
What the portal is called. The patient portal is the Intermountain Health app, powered by MyChart, at mychart.intermountainhealth.org. Earlier pages called the digital experience “My Health+.” Patients in Utah, Idaho and Nevada moved to the new app around September 6, 2025, and old usernames did not carry over.
What we found. No complaint, docket or settlement notice naming Intermountain Health in a website- or portal-tracking case. That is a statement about what we could find as of October 2026, not a finding that tracking never happened.
Case Details
There is no court case to report for tracking. Three things do come up when people search “Intermountain Health lawsuit,” and none of them pays patients for tracking:
Retirement plan suit (employees). A proposed class of plan participants sued Intermountain Healthcare in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, No. 1:25-cv-00073, over fees and a stable value fund in two plans that held more than $6.3 billion as of 2023. Mealey’s reported on July 15, 2026 that a Utah federal judge dismissed it. An older ERISA case, Doe v. Intermountain Healthcare, No. 2:18-cv-00807, also involved SelectHealth.
Planned Parenthood of Montana settlement. The defendant there is Intermountain Planned Parenthood, Inc. — a separate organization that shares a word, not an owner. Its breach case, No. DV-56-2025-0000836-OC in Yellowstone County, Montana, involved an incident around August 28, 2024.
Status: Reference Only, No Case Found
The Intermountain Health data breach we could document was a vendor incident in 2021; we could not check for later ones. Elekta, a cancer-care software company, reported that patient data on its systems was accessible to an unauthorized party between April 6 and April 20, 2021. Intermountain said it affected four specialty clinics in southern Nevada, not its Utah or Idaho facilities, and offered 12 months of credit monitoring. We found no lawsuit against Intermountain over it.
If a tracking case is filed, the first public sign is usually a complaint in federal court, not a letter. We will update this page with a date if that happens.
How to Check Your Own Exposure
There is no class to join, so the useful question is what you did online. Tracking cases at other hospitals turned on three things: whether you used the public website or the portal, what you did there (searched for a doctor, booked an appointment, paid a bill, read results), and when.
Our form on this page asks exactly that: website or MyChart, what you did, and when you last did it. Your answers let us tell you if a case appears that fits your use.
Breach letters are different. If you got a mailed notice naming Intermountain, keep it and the envelope. It states which data was involved. The data breach settlement calculator shows what comparable cases paid.
What Other Hospitals’ Tracking Cases Paid
For context only, here is how two other hospital cases ended:
Wellstar (Georgia): a $4.25 million settlement in Doe v. Wellstar Health System, No. 1:24-cv-01748, preliminarily approved July 28, 2026, for about 870,000 people. The suit alleged Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager in Wellstar’s MyChart and website. Claims are due November 10, 2026; payments are pro rata. See our Wellstar page.
Cone Health (North Carolina): $1,765,000 in Singh v. The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital Operating Corp., No. 1:24-cv-00558, for people who used its MyChart or web forms between September 1, 2016 and November 3, 2022. Its claim deadline was October 5, 2026.
Neither case covers Intermountain patients. The MyChart settlement calculator lists every case we track.

Three Things to Watch For
When a hospital name sits next to the word “MyChart” in settlement news, imposters follow:
“Intermountain MyChart settlement” claim pages
There is no Intermountain tracking settlement, so there is no claims site. A page asking for your MyChart login, date of birth or Social Security number to “verify your share” is collecting data, not filing a claim.
The Planned Parenthood of Montana mix-up
That settlement names Intermountain Planned Parenthood, a different organization. Ads or posts presenting it as an Intermountain Health payout are wrong, and its dates have passed.
Fake “MyChart security” messages
The 2025 app switch made new-account emails normal. Sign in only by typing mychart.intermountainhealth.org or opening the official app. Never through a link in a message about a lawsuit.
Intermountain Health MyChart — Questions People Actually Ask
Is there an Intermountain Health MyChart lawsuit?
Not that we could find as of October 6, 2026. We found no lawsuit over Meta, Google or other tracking on Intermountain’s website or MyChart app, and no settlement or claim form.
Is there an Intermountain Health data breach settlement?
No. The Intermountain Health data breach we could document was the 2021 Elekta vendor incident affecting four southern Nevada clinics. We found no lawsuit or settlement against Intermountain over it.
What is Intermountain’s patient portal called?
The Intermountain Health app, powered by MyChart, at mychart.intermountainhealth.org. Earlier pages used the name My Health+. Utah, Idaho and Nevada patients moved to the new app around September 6, 2025.
I saw an Intermountain settlement for up to $5,000. Is that mine?
Almost certainly not. That is the Planned Parenthood of Montana breach case against Intermountain Planned Parenthood, Inc., a separate organization. It reimbursed documented losses up to $5,000 for losses through January 12, 2026.
I used Intermountain’s website to book care. Can I join a case?
There is no case to join. If one is filed and settled, class members are notified by a court-appointed administrator. Our form records whether you used the website or MyChart, what you did and when, so we can tell you if that changes.
What about the Intermountain Health lawsuit over retirement plans?
That was an employee case, No. 1:25-cv-00073 in federal court in Utah, about fees and a stable value fund. Mealey’s reported on July 15, 2026 that it was dismissed. Patients were never part of it.
Did other hospitals pay patients for MyChart tracking?
Yes. Wellstar agreed to $4.25 million, with claims due November 10, 2026, and Cone Health to $1,765,000. See our MyChart claim form guide for cases that are open.
What is worth doing right now?
Keep any breach letter naming Intermountain. Use only the official app or mychart.intermountainhealth.org to sign in. If you want, note on our form how and when you used the site, so a future case can be matched to you.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
