What the New Robinhood Lawsuits Allege
Robinhood Derivatives, LLC offers event contracts in the Robinhood app, including contracts tied to sports results. On April 22, 2026, customers filed a proposed class action in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. It alleges that the sports-related contracts violate California's Unfair Competition Law and Consumer Legal Remedies Act, the gambling-loss laws of New Jersey, New York and Michigan, and state consumer-protection statutes. Three more related suits followed in June 2026; the four have been consolidated, and Robinhood has moved to send most of the plaintiffs to arbitration.

The order-flow notice said active account holders receive their share automatically — no one needs your Robinhood password or a code from your phone. The 2021 incident exposed about five million email addresses, exactly the list a fake settlement email needs. Open the app yourself; never follow the link.
“GameStop restriction compensation”
MDL 2989 produced no class settlement: the class claims were dismissed or denied certification, and the remaining customer plaintiffs were sent to individual arbitration. Anyone selling a share of a GameStop fund is selling something that does not exist.
“Recover your sports-contract losses — register now”
No class has been certified in the event-contract cases, and there is no fund. Some of these pages are lawyer ads; a retainer is a real legal choice with fee terms and arbitration consequences. A fee to “register” for a class action is a red flag.

Can I still get money over the GameStop trading restrictions?
Not through a class action. In MDL 2989 the state-law claims were dismissed in January 2022 and the antitrust claims in May 2022, both affirmed by the Eleventh Circuit (August 2023 and June 2024). Class certification in the securities claims was denied in November 2023, and the named plaintiffs' claims were dismissed on August 14, 2024. Individual arbitrations were still pending in Robinhood's July 30, 2026 report. Whether an individual claim is still timely is a question for a lawyer.
