“MrBeast lawsuit” covers several separate cases. The one in the news since April 2026 is a former executive’s federal suit against MrBeastYouTube, LLC over her firing after maternity leave. The one most people mean is the Beast Games class action filed by first-season contestants in 2024. As of October 2026 neither has settled. There is no fund, no administrator, no claim form and no deadline.

What the Lawsuits Say Happened
Beast Games (contestants). The class action says the production companies and Amazon treated roughly 1,000 contestants as unpaid participants when California law made them employees. The complaint alleges sexual harassment of female contestants, lack of medical care, inadequate food, unpaid expenses and wages, and misrepresentations about how many people were competing for the $5 million prize. It also alleges the producers took a Nevada tax credit of $2,252,523 while misclassifying the contestants.
Mavromatis (former executive). The plaintiff was hired in 2022 as head of Instagram and rose to run a team of 20. The lawsuit alleges she was harassed, demoted after complaining, made to work through her leave — including a work call from the labor and delivery room — and let go three weeks after she returned. The company says her role was eliminated in a restructuring and calls the complaint “clout-chasing.” These are allegations; no court has ruled on them.
Case Details
Beast Games: Contestant 1 v. MRB2024, LLC, No. 24STCV24042, filed September 16, 2024 in Los Angeles County Superior Court against MrB2024, LLC, Off One’s Base, LLC, Amazon Alternative, LLC and Does 1–100. A sixth contestant and a casting company were added later; the casting company was dismissed on May 10, 2025. A related federal docket, No. 2:25-cv-03051 in the Central District of California, also exists.
Former executive: Mavromatis v. MrBeastYouTube, LLC, No. 4:26-cv-00059, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, filed April 22, 2026 against MrBeastYouTube, LLC and GameChanger 24/7, LLC, before Judge Richard E. Myers II. Donaldson himself is not a defendant.
MrBeast Burger: Donaldson sued Virtual Dining Concepts in July 2023; the company countersued in the Supreme Court of New York, County of New York, seeking more than $100 million. In May 2025 an appellate court affirmed dismissal of several of those counterclaims.
Status as of October 2026: All Pending, Nothing to Claim
Mavromatis: the defendants filed an answer on April 24, 2026, and by June 2026 the court had entered a discovery planning order. The suit pleads three claims: the Family and Medical Leave Act, wrongful discharge under North Carolina public policy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. It is a single-plaintiff case, not a class action.
Burger: a business dispute between Donaldson and his former partner. Customers are not parties and nothing is payable to them.

Who Could Be Affected
Only the Beast Games case is a proposed class action. It is brought for people who served as contestants on the first season. If you were not a contestant, you are not in it — viewers, YouTube subscribers and Feastables buyers have no claim in any of these cases.
If you were a contestant, you do not sign up anywhere. If a class is ever certified or a settlement approved, notice comes from a court-appointed administrator. Keep your contestant agreement, travel receipts and any messages from production — those are what a claim would rest on.
The Mavromatis suit concerns one employee. Other current or former staff are not members of it.

How cases like this one end
Our copy of the federal courts’ own case database covers 12,522 federal civil cases of this typeclosed in U.S. federal district courts between 2015 and 2025:
- 56.4% ended in a settlement recorded by the court. Another 16.1% were dismissed voluntarily, which often follows a private settlement — so the real settlement share sits between 56.4% and 72.5%.
- 6.6% were decided on a motion before any trial.
- 1 in 103 reached a trial (1%), after a median of 25.3 months.
- Median time from filing to the end of the case: 8.9 months.
- Only 56 of them (0.4%) record a money award at all; the median of those is $380,000.

Three Things to Watch For
A famous name plus “lawsuit” is ideal bait. Watch for these:
“Claim your Beast Games settlement” pages
There is no settlement and no claims site. A page asking for your ID, bank details or a fee to “secure your share” is collecting data, not filing anything.
“MrBeast lawsuit payout” giveaway messages
MrBeast’s real giveaways are already a favorite for impersonators. Messages that tie a fake giveaway to “lawsuit compensation” and ask for a processing fee or gift cards are fraud.
“Join the MrBeast class action” sign-ups
You cannot join a class you are not part of. The only proposed class is first-season contestants, and they would be notified by an administrator. Lead forms promising viewers money are selling your contact details.
MrBeast Lawsuit — Questions People Actually Ask
Which MrBeast lawsuit is in the news right now?
Most recent coverage concerns Mavromatis v. MrBeastYouTube, LLC, No. 4:26-cv-00059, filed April 22, 2026 in the Eastern District of North Carolina by a former executive. The Beast Games contestant class action from 2024 is also still pending.
Is there a MrBeast settlement I can claim from?
No. As of October 2026 there is no settlement, fund, administrator, claim form or deadline in any of these cases.
I watched Beast Games or bought Feastables. Am I part of a lawsuit?
No. The Beast Games case is brought for people who served as contestants. Viewers and customers are not in any proposed class.
What do the Beast Games contestants claim?
The lawsuit alleges they were misclassified as non-employees and suffered unpaid wages and expenses, inadequate food and medical care, and sexual harassment, and that they were misled about the number of competitors. The defendants have not been found liable for any of it.
Is MrBeast personally being sued?
Not in the Mavromatis case — it names MrBeastYouTube, LLC and GameChanger 24/7, LLC. In the Beast Games case the named companies include his production company MrB2024, LLC. In the burger dispute Donaldson is a party on both sides of the claims.
How has the company responded?
It denies the Mavromatis allegations, says her role was eliminated in a restructuring and that it has messages and witnesses that refute her account. Donaldson has said the Beast Games set allegations were “blown out of proportion.”
What happened with MrBeast Burger?
It is a contract fight between Donaldson and Virtual Dining Concepts. In May 2025 a New York appellate court affirmed dismissal of several of the company’s counterclaims. It has nothing to pay to customers.
I was a Beast Games contestant. What should I do?
Keep your contestant agreement, receipts and production messages. You do not have to sign anything to remain in a proposed class. If you are weighing your own claim, speak to an employment lawyer of your choosing — and read any retainer before signing. For other open cases, see our open settlements list.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
