Corewell Health is Michigan’s merged Beaumont and Spectrum Health system, and its patient portal is called MyChart. As of October 6, 2026, we found no lawsuit or settlement over Meta Pixel or Google tracking on corewellhealth.org or Corewell MyChart. What does exist: a settled HealthEC data breach case that is already paying, a Welltok/MOVEit breach still in federal MDL, and a 2026 medical-debt class action.

What Is Actually on File Against Corewell
Searches for a Corewell Health MyChart lawsuit usually come from the national wave of hospital pixel cases, where patients allege a health system’s website or MyChart portal sent page activity to Meta or Google. We found no such case against Corewell Health, Beaumont or Spectrum Health as of October 6, 2026. The Markup’s June 2022 study found the Meta Pixel on appointment pages at 33 of Newsweek’s top 100 hospitals, but its article does not name Beaumont or Spectrum Health, and we found no Corewell notice admitting a pixel disclosure.
What the record does show is a series of vendor data breaches, each its own matter. HealthEC, a population-health vendor, was accessed between July 14 and July 23, 2023. Welltok, a patient-communication vendor, lost data through the MOVEit file-transfer flaw in late May 2023. Pinnacle Holdings, a consultant, had a network disruption on November 25, 2024 that exposed data of more than 19,000 Corewell patients. Separately, a 2026 lawsuit alleges Corewell billed patients for balances insurers had already settled.
Case Details
HealthEC breach: In re HealthEC LLC Data Breach Litigation, No. 2:24-cv-00026 (SDA), U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Defendants included Corewell Health and Oakwood Accountable Care Organization d/b/a Beaumont ACO. Judge Stacey D. Adams granted preliminary approval on June 6, 2025.
Welltok/MOVEit breach: In re MOVEit Customer Data Security Breach Litigation, MDL No. 3083, District of Massachusetts, before Judge Allison D. Burroughs. Welltok is a bellwether defendant; on October 29, 2025 the court denied Welltok’s motion for partial reconsideration on choice of law.
Medical debt: Rzanca et al v. Corewell Health, No. 2:26-cv-11692, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, filed in late May 2026 against Corewell and DCM Services LLC.
Status: No Tracking Case; One Breach Settlement Paying
The HealthEC settlement is the one with money. It received final approval on January 20, 2026, and the administrator began paying approved claimants on March 24, 2026. The claim deadline was November 18, 2025, so new claims are closed.
The Welltok/MOVEit claims remain in MDL 3083 with no Welltok settlement we could confirm. The Pinnacle breach has no filed case that we could confirm. The Rzanca debt case is at an early stage with no certified class.
Could You Be Affected?
For tracking: nobody is a class member of a case that does not exist. If you used corewellhealth.org, a former Beaumont or Spectrum Health site, or Corewell MyChart to search conditions, book visits or message doctors, note what you did and when. Our MyChart claim form asks exactly that: website or MyChart, what you did there, and when you last used it. Michigan pixel claims run under the state eavesdropping statute; see MyChart lawsuits in Michigan.
For the HealthEC settlement: the class was about 1.67 million patients of Community Health, Corewell, MD Valuecare and Beaumont whose data was in the HealthEC incident. Members got a notice by email or mail.
For Welltok and Pinnacle: your notice letter is the proof. Keep it.
What Corewell Patients Can Actually Get
HealthEC: the $5,482,500 fund offered documented out-of-pocket losses, lost time up to 10 hours at $25 per hour, or a flat $25 payment ($50 for California residents), plus three years of credit monitoring with a $1 million identity theft insurance policy. Those payments are already going out; you cannot file now. To estimate breach cases generally, use our data breach settlement calculator.

Three Things to Watch For
Three breach notices in three years make Corewell patients an easy target:
“Claim your Corewell MyChart settlement”
There is no Corewell tracking settlement. A page asking for your MyChart login, date of birth or Social Security number to “secure your payment” is collecting data, not filing a claim.
Late HealthEC claim offers
The HealthEC claim deadline was November 18, 2025. Anyone offering to file a new HealthEC claim for a fee cannot do it. Real payments come only from the court-appointed administrator.
Calls citing your breach letter
Welltok, HealthEC and Pinnacle letters are widely known, so a caller can mention them without knowing you. No administrator phones to ask for your full Social Security number or a processing fee.
Corewell Health Lawsuit — Questions People Actually Ask
Is there a Corewell Health MyChart lawsuit?
As of October 6, 2026, we found none. No lawsuit or settlement over Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or similar tracking on corewellhealth.org or Corewell MyChart turned up in our search.
What is the Corewell Health patient portal called?
MyChart. Corewell Health describes it as its secure online portal for test results, messages and appointments, available on the web and in a mobile app.
Was there a Corewell Health data breach?
Several, all through vendors. HealthEC (July 2023), Welltok via MOVEit (late May 2023, around one million Corewell patients) and Pinnacle Holdings (November 25, 2024, more than 19,000 patients).
Can I still file a HealthEC claim?
No. The claim deadline was November 18, 2025. The court granted final approval on January 20, 2026 and payments began March 24, 2026.
Is there a Welltok or MOVEit settlement for Corewell patients?
Not one we could confirm. Welltok is a bellwether defendant in MDL 3083 in Massachusetts, which was still litigating choice-of-law questions in October 2025.
What is the 2026 Corewell Health lawsuit about?
Rzanca et al v. Corewell Health, No. 2:26-cv-11692, alleges Corewell and DCM Services billed and pursued patients for balances insurers had already settled. It is a billing case, not a privacy case, and no class has been certified.
Did Beaumont or Spectrum Health use the Meta Pixel?
We could not confirm it. The Markup’s 2022 pixel study does not name either system, and we found no breach notice from them about tracking tools.
What should I do now?
Keep any breach letters, freeze your credit for free at all three bureaus, and check insurance statements for care you never received. If you used Corewell MyChart or its websites for health searches, note when; our form records that.
Separate from this case: were you injured in the last 2 years?
Class-action payouts are fixed amounts through an administrator. A personal injury claim is a different case — and often worth far more. Free estimate, no obligation.
